Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Medicine!
Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Medicine (also known as WPMED).
We're a group of editors who want to improve the quality of medical articles here on Wikipedia. I noticed that you are interested in editing medical articles, such as your edits to the article Zefr; it's great to have a new editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing Wikipedia articles are:
- Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on our talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the group's talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some help!
- Sourcing of medical and health-related content on Wikipedia is guided by our medical sourcing guidelines, commonly referred to as MEDRS. These guidelines typically require recent secondary sources to support information. Primary sources (case studies, case reports, research studies) are rarely used, especially if the primary sources are produced by the organisation or individual who is promoting a claim.
- The Wikipedia community includes a wide variety of editors with different interests, skills, and knowledge. We all manage to get along through a lot of discussion that happens behind the scenes and through the editing policy. If you encounter any problems, you can discuss them on an article's talk page or post a message on the WPMED talk page.
Feel free to drop a note on my talk page if you have any questions. I wish you all the best, and thank you for your help! Zefr (talk) 17:39, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
CS1 error on Patent medicine
Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Patent medicine, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A missing title error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 16:09, 10 December 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Zefr. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Aging brain, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Rather than individual studies as sources, please read and use WP:BMI review articles. Zefr (talk) 21:29, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
Aging brain
Hello Astley101 and welcome to editing. On my talk page, you asked about use of this source and why I reverted your edit by Special:Diff/1326960064. The Zhao study used MRI analysis of brain structures combined with survey data on demographics, lifestyle, and cognitive measures. This information was used to estimate brain regions potentially involved in the onset of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The study is primary research, WP:PRIMARY, and does not provide a review among all potential factors in AD onset.
By WP:MEDASSESS, left pyramid, the Zhao study would be in the orange category ("no design") and is too preliminary for the encyclopedia, where the goal is to summarize and source mainstream facts for - in this case - how AD may occur. The 'pathophysiology' section of the AD article on Wikipedia provides more information.
Please play the video in the above welcome message and read WP:MEDRS as the overall guide. This tutorial for medical editing, and other links on my talk page, may familiarize you further with encyclopedic writing and sources.
See the medical project talk page at WT:MED. Feel free to ask questions. Good luck! Zefr (talk) 18:23, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the knowledge you imparted! I've gone through WP:MEDRS and fully understood my mistake and learnt about the nuances of citing sources for biomedical articles.
- Thank you for being so patient. I hope this didn't take too much time out of your schedule :) Astley101 (talk) 04:40, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
