while you can't exactly read articles in a "wide manner" you can look to the right side of your screen, there should be a contents section below the Main Menu section. if you click on the blue links, it will take you to the header. for example, if you were to click: I have sent you a note about a page you started on My talk page, it will take you to the header of that area. Another example if say if you were reading an article about Abe Lincoln, if you click the link that says early Life, it will take you to the section of that Tittle. Hello User:Tornado Elliott, I would like to ask you why you reverted my edit on Uta Frith where I changed the subject's place of birth from an inaccurate and depth-lacking "Germany" when the subject was very clearly born in Nazi Germany would it not be contributional for me to elaborate on the era in time the subject was born in? For the 2 citations, could you explain how the 2 sentences are supported by those references (quoting the applicable text in the reference)? That is indeed an unusual problem to have, and I sympathize. If I'm understanding you correctly, you received Google's French translation of https://www.peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=11930 and https://edits.nationalmap.gov/apps/gaz-domestic/public/summary/1389147 because of your computer's settings, but because you understand some French, you translated them back to English—and then only based on that information, wrote that version of the article? But then you decided it didn't sound great. What about it seemed good to begin with, but upon further consideration didn't sound great? Was there anything else wrong with the article? Actually, the revert was by Lynch44, who also reported Paosi02 to site administrators. (I'm baffled why Paosi02 decided to use their very first edit to make an accusation against you. Is there some sort of connection between you and them?)

Regarding the Mount Piumafua page, I still don't understand how the Peakbagger and National Map sources, plus the National Park Service image that you included in that edit, weren't clear enough about the height. They had numbers, which would have been the same in French or English, and it isn't like there was a confusing unit conversion either. It looks like you wrote 545 feet (twice), and even referenced it. By doing this, you're telling all the other users of Wikipedia that you read and understood enough of the referenced source to verify that the height was 545 feet. If that's not what you read, or not what the source says, you mustn't add a reference saying that. Not even if it is an edit you're going to revert later: it has to be true from the moment you first write it. I think this is a fair concern, taking your explanation into account, but please tell me if there is more to the process. TheFeds 07:44, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

I appreciate that you are aware of the potential problems with using LLMs to write articles, and yes, I have to admit that I was wondering about whether this was an AI mistake or some other kind of mistake. Since you are curious, I'd like to explain more fully. The way that the first edit was written was so weird as to make me wonder what thought process went into writing it exactly that way. It does not resemble something written methodically and deliberately by a person who understands what the sources were saying.

It is very, very unusual for a person to write a number, but reference it to sources that don't support the number. I struggle to understand what the purpose or intent of doing it that way would be. Isn't it much easier and logical to always use references that actually match what you write?

I also want to highlight that you said "I just didn't like the way it sounded", but also "2000 ft sounded more notable" and then suggested a compromise to "add both heights". If the mountain had 2 heights (like maybe 2 peaks on the same mass) couldn't you find a source, cite it and summarize that situation? Alternatively, if everyone agrees there is only 1 height, what would be the purpose of listing 2? On the other hand, when you say notable, what are you referring to? Facts aren't true or false because of their notability. One should instead start from the point of view of what verifiable and reliable sources say, then interpret whether there is any legitimate dispute over the truth, and then carefully summarize the situation. Is there actually uncertainty over the height of the mountain that would justify listing 2 heights? Or are some sources wrong; possibly obviously or grievously wrong? And which sources are those, since that's not what was cited?

Taken as a whole, I don't think you are putting enough intellectual attention into your edits. That may be because they are LLM-assisted, and you are just approving things without personally thinking about them. Or it might be because you need to become more familiar with the conventions of encyclopedic writing (or relevant concepts taken from technical, scientific, academic, formal or journalistic writing).

Lastly, I appreciate your willingness to take some kind of accountability by offering the explanation related to French-language translation. But accountability can only be achieved if the explanation is a reasonable excuse. Translating to French and back doesn't explain the kinds of mistakes that existed. Not being able to correct the language settings and plowing through anyway seems wildly improbable, inefficient, and a little bit irresponsible. While Wikipedia isn't exactly serious business, it reflects on your personal integrity and value to the Wikipedia community when you realistically (instead of fancifully) admit to mistakes and proffer reasonable solutions that directly address the root causes. Thanks for the feedback and for helping me out. Since I am still pretty new to Wikipedia, I am still learning how everything works here. For the mountain peaks, I was thinking we could add a footnote to the height that says "sources vary" so readers know the data is mixed.

I totally understand why you thought the writing looked like AI. Another article I wrote actually got deleted for that exact same reason, so I get where you are coming from. This whole conversation has made me realize that I might not be the best at writing mountain articles. I think it is a better idea for me to stick to weather articles instead, as long as I can do a good job with those. I originally joined Wikipedia because I truly love to write and create new pages. I am not really here just to do minor copyediting or fix grammar mistakes on old articles.

If you think the best move is to start a deletion discussion for this article, please go right ahead. I am okay with stepping away from this project completely, unless there is an easy and clear way to fix the height problems.

Lastly, I wanted to explain the "notable part" and the French text. Because I am not an expert on mountains, I got a bit confused while editing and changed some things around without thinking much about it. I honestly did not think it was a big deal at the time, and I did not realize other editors would notice it so quickly. The French part just changed accidentally while I was trying to fix the formatting during my writing process. I did not mean to cause any confusion, and I am sorry for making things unclear. Do you think that the sources vary widely as to the height of the mountain? Would you be able to provide 2 reliable sources that you think correctly identify the height, and 1 reliable source that incorrectly identifies the height? Is the fact sufficiently disputable to be footnoted as such?

About halfway down this help page is a big blue button labeled "Create your draft with the Article Wizard!". I recommend this method. It will make a "draft" article which can then be submitted to Articles for Creation, where a volunteer will review it. The advice in the rest of the help page is also very useful.

There are other methods: for example, if you click on any red link it will offer to let you start an article with that name. But for newcomers, the Article Wizard is good. • How do I create an article about myself? We do not recommend doing this. Advice is at WP:Autobiography.
• How do I create a new article (about someone or something else)? Advice is at WP:My first article but I recommend not doing this as your first task on Wikipedia as it is quite difficult. I recommend doing some Newcomer Tasks first, or playing the training game WP:The Wikipedia Adventure.

Hi Nightowlblues. It's true that false accusations of vandalism occasionally happen. I have two sets of suggestions. The first is to start learning editing on articles that are not highly touchy or politically charged. You are less likely to walk into a verbal minefield if you edit on neutral topics for a while and get some experience.

The other is to have a look at WP:DEALWITHINCIVIL which lays out what kinds of behavior should be reported, and how to do it if necessary. In the meantime, you do not need to worry too much about false accusations of vandalism. Anything deleted can easily be recovered, and false reports to the admins just backfire on the person making them. Everything we do on Wikipedia is logged, so it's very easy for the admins to check.

So I suggest boldly jumping in, but picking an uncontroversial subject for your first few edits. I did my first ones on South American songbirds and chess tournaments, and had no problems. Welcome to Wikipedia! If I can be of more help, feel free to ping me on my Talk page.

But you can create it as a draft, and send it to Articles for Creation for a review: if it passes review, they will publish it. The easiest way to do this is to use the New Article Wizard. If you read Help:My first article it has useful instructions and a button to launch the New Article Wizard.

We won't accept a second article on the same subject as one we already have. But often it's good and helpful to add a new section to an article that already exists. I recommend that you look at articles in topics you find interesting, and see if there are articles that need more material.

If you are interested in a particular topic, there may be a WikiProject about that topic which can help you find articles that need work, or new articles that should be written. For example, WikiProject Chess has a list of "chess grandmasters with no article", so if I wanted to write a chess article I could pick one of those. To find a WikiProject, put "Wikipedia:WikiProject Chess" (or whatever subject you are interested in) into the search bar.

To be direct, i am in Ai noticeboard because of using AI. I was blocked and unblock again now. Because of my activities, all the pages are tagged with LLMPRODS and edits were also removed. Is there any way of removing the tag especially to those that reviewed and accepted because i spent many days and nights collecting sources for some of those articles and stubs. and I would really like to know whether those sources and the articles can be independently reviewed rather than everything being treated LLMPRODS because I used AI while preparing the text.

Please guide me on what i should do next and is this the way how it should be affected? Can i get any help from you? I genuinely wanted to learn and contribute. You can save your sources and rewrite the text from scratch. Text composed by an LLM may not stay in an article.

Correction: your unblock approval was contingent on accepting a tban on article creation, so you will not be able to rewrite it on Wikipedia until and unless that restriction is removed under said conditions.
