demographics of Ukraine
Hello, I'd like to contact you to find out what data your population pyramid for Ukraine in 2023 is based on. I'm wondering about the huge demographic gap around the age of 25, because it's much deeper than the 2021 data. At first I thought it was refugees, but that doesn't seem to be it, since the gap between the two graphs is too focused on a limited age group: half of the 22-26 age group would be gone, but almost zero 12-17 and 40-45? Similarly, there's no difference between men and women, even though adult men are not allowed to leave the country (yes, some do, illegally or through exceptions, but the proportion is much lower than for women).
