Wikipedia:Almanac

According to Wikipedia:Five pillars: "Wikipedia is an encyclopedia: It combines many features of general and specialized encyclopedias, almanacs, and gazetteers."

This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article or a Wikipedia policy, as it has not been reviewed by the community.

This page in a nutshell: Wikipedia is not an almanac per se, because it is an encyclopedia, but it does contain much almanac-like information.

As the world's most extensive encyclopedia, Wikipedia goes far beyond the scope of an almanac. But it may contain any or all of the information you might find in an almanac, and then some. So, Wikipedia is not exclusively an almanac, but it may contain data formatted in almanac style.
