PROD declined by page creator. Unsourced and the only reference I can find is a passing mention in this BBC article. As an alternative to deletion I suggest redirecting to List of association football rivalries in the United Kingdom however as the editor who created this page is having problems remaining civil I'd welcome the input of other editors. • That depends on the sources. Every page on Wikipedia needs WP:SIGCOV. See if you can find newspaper articles or books about the derby. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:18, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

• Delete - as non-notable. However, as M61 Derby seems to also be a model of footwear, shoehorning the title into a football rivalry list seems a little overzealous. C679 18:33, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
• Comment apparently the most competitive derby, according to Professor Patrick Power... The Bolton News mentions this fixture three quarters down a page on Bolton's biggest rivals "It is a fixture that has only been played 47 times, the first of which was in 1983, so lacks anything like the storied history of other teams mentioned above. But even the diehards who still point indignantly towards United must concede that for the modern generation, the Latics tick all the right boxes". Maybe a Bolton fan can correct me but I got the impression reading that they still believe that Manchester United are their rivals (something that is not mutual now and probably wasn't even 20 years ago when they were playing each other), and Wigan seems at most to be a situationship.
