Disputed PROD. No evidence of significant coverage in reliable independent sources; current sources are a one-sentence mention and a map that doesn't even note the mountain's existence. BEFORE search doesn't find anything more substantial. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 21:25, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- Note: this discussion has been included in the AfD sorting lists for the following topics: Geography and North Carolina. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 21:25, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:NATFEAT. The peakbagger.com listing is provisional and has gone unverified by a decade; we can't even be sure that the location is correct. Choess (talk) 23:08, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- Merge: per WP:NATFEAT as an alternative to deletion WP:ATD into the wider geographic area eg: Wilton, North Carolina. Themeparks (talk) 14:39, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete The most notable Mayfield Mountain appears to be in Oklahoma followed by Ohio, and then Idaho--the North Carolina Mayfield Mountain doesn't even appear in the first two pages of searches. Agnieszka653 (talk) 17:54, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete - We don't have to redirect where there is nothing to say about the mountain and no need to redirect it, nor does WP:GEONATURAL say that we have to ("can" =/= "must"). As noted above, there are multiple Mayfield Mountains, nor is this the most notable of them, and so no real reason to redirect to an area that provides no actual information about the subject. Better to leave this open for an actual article.
- As also noted above, this article is based on Peakbagger (an WP:SPS) so it's not even clear that this location is verified in a reliable source. FOARP (talk) 09:32, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
