WP:TOOSOON, the latest election has only just been held this month and there's no talk about the prospective 2030 Senedd election yet (that I could find at the moment). None of the sources in the article are about the 2030 election and, for that matter, no way of predicting who will lead the prospective parties into the next Senedd election. • Redirect to Elections in Wales#Devolved parliament elections for now, restore the original redirect until closer to the date when there is some reporting on the actual election. Although all that is needed is probably one opinion poll, that's how the 2026 article started out, as it would have nowhere else to go. DankJae 22:23, 30 May 2026 (UTC)

• Draftify for now, for the sole reason that there is no specific information on this election as of yet. But I don't think that this merits an outright deletion nor that we have to wait a few years at least for an article on this topic to exist: the first opinion polls on the 2026 Senedd election started coming out in September 2021 (just four months after the previous election), and that by itself (per previous Wikipedia precedent) would already constitute specific information on the next Sennedd election that justifies the article's existence (barring any other, previous information that may come out, though the chances for a snap election in the next few months seem quite slim). Draftification can do the job for now so that the article can be improved while in incubation, without removing its current information (which is useful to describe Senedd elections in general and will likely be used in any such prospective article anyway). Together with the draftification, I support the above proposal to have the "Next Senedd election" title redirect to Elections in Wales#Devolved parliament elections until the draft is ready for mainspace. • Draftify: I don't see why not. We know it's going to be an article eventually, so if some of the work has already been done then why not stash it to save some effort down the line?   I agree with this. It is easier to have the article ready for whenever news about the next election comes in. It also gives us a place to put the polls. KingCrimson420 (talk) 16:18, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
