I have just closed the first AFD as procedural close as the debate was irretrievably tainted by sockpuppetry and apparent brigading. On that basis we need to restart from scratch on a protected page. As this is an administrative action I remain neutral. Noting that I have blocked the nominator of the previous discussion as a sock. Spartaz Humbug! 08:11, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- Note: this discussion has been included in the AfD sorting lists for the following topics: Language, Suspected AI-generated articles, and Nigeria. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 08:21, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
Comment: I have just collapsed a AI generated comment at this page's talk page. PhantomVorteX (Talk) 13:47, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:NOTDICTIONARY, or speedy delete per WP:G15 as LLM slop, which is pretty obvious just reading the article. I find it ironic that the points made on this discussion's talk page were also LLM generated, but the points 2 and 3 are reasonable arguments to delete. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 17:08, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:NOTDICTIONARY, likely AI generated, which anyone can confirm just by reading. PhantomVorteX (Talk) 08:29, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete: WP:NOTDICTIONARY, likely LLM generated due to all the weird bolding going on. Schützenpanzer (Talk) 19:59, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete: Same opinion as the previous discussion. 🄻🄰 16:38, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Redirect to Nigerian Pidgin: My previous proposal was to merge this page with the My Oga at the top page, since they had similar information, but Cnilep (talk)—a linguist—has done the work of checking the information on that page and summarising it with a merge/redirect into Nigerian pidgin 1352938897.
The reason I could accurately point out that the previous nominator Esther Kings (talk) was a sock, was that the reasons they gave for wanting to delete this article were not only invalid, but they had been previously part of an LLM brigade. There are legitimate reasons to delete the article, like those now pointed out in this discussion, but for that nominator, it was just a jingoistic desperation to supress information they deemed 'disadvantageous' for their ethnic group. Ordinarily, I should be done here, but unfortunately Deetailz (talk) whose account was created amidst the previously discussed brigades on afDs (same day as Esther Kings), has picked up their torch, they went on to remove Cnilep's merge/summary for no reason.1353260567 - Not only that, they removed information on a Gele page that evidenced what is presumably their ethnic group adopting the item from Yorubas. This insecure behaviour just keep repeating itself, adopting a piece of culture you like from another group is a normal and regular occurrence, but this degree of what appears like stealth canvasing/brigading to supress it is so unsettling. I'm tired. Sohvyan (talk) 04:09, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
