Zero sources seem to be reliable for the band - most are dead links and none of them mention the band itself. The article was created back in 2005 by a sockpuppet account who created many non-notable or even fictitious music-related articles which have been deleted for many years under numerous alias accounts. I feel this article has some suspicious claims, like the first sentence claims "that one New York Times writer said played classic, basic rock-and-roll: just rugged guitar riffs and lyrics about the more bothersome aspects of romance". The section following the band's breakup is also entirely unsourced and the claim of a "Mike Hunt Band" is overly suspicious. All of these edits were by the sockmaster and have been here since at least 2009 when they were last active on the page. Much of the recent page history is source tagging or removing dead links, so there's that issue as well. With that being said, I believe that this unfortunately does not qualify for a Wikipedia article, even though it has been here for 21 years. MakaylaHippo1998 (talk) 00:47, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

• Comment I'm not seeing a huge amount about them, but I think there's enough to fix up most of the sourcing and it may be a weak GNG pass; the band's name is at least easy to search for! The "New York Times writer said ..." bit that you quote is indeed in the article cited. The Trouser Press Guide to 90s Rock (1997) has two paragraphs on them and confirms the breakup date. New York Magazine 1990-08-06 p16 has a decent contemporary article about them. It's even possible to source some of the "After the Band" section, e.g. CMJ New Music Report 1999-05-17 p9 about Stephanie Seymour, and, erm, this source on the Mike Hunt Band. (And "Mind Full of Worry" was indeed used in Amateur; it's the first song listed in the credits.) Adam Sampson (talk) 01:28, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
