Nominator's rationale: To make it clear that these subdivisions are the administrative subdivisions of the municipality entities. These are all different administrative but not legally separate divisions, therefore merge Category:Boroughs of Sweden and Category:City districts in Sweden. The case of Landskrona does not match the municipal districts presented on the municipality website and they are only two in the category. Bromma and Hässelby-Vällingby are two current boroughs compared to Västerort. Since 2016, what was församlingar (parishes) are now distrikt (registration districts), so therefore it would be useful to add city to the Stockholm categories, as there also are some 20–30 registration districts in Stockholm. The Medal of Honor is defining and the category is large, so there's no WP:OCAWARD or WP:NARROWCAT issue. The problem is that American service members tend to move around a lot during their careers so that they're associated with multiple states, none of which are defining to the award. Here are the first three articles alphabetically:
  1. George E. Albee: from New Hampshire, served out of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Connecticut, retired in Maryland
  2. James Allen (Medal of Honor): from Ireland, served out of New York, retired in Minnesota
  3. Jesse T. Barrick: from Ohio, grew up and served out of Minnesota, retired in Washington state

  • From the Category creator- How about I change it to a category "Recipients of the Medal of Honor by state" as other examples shown here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Recipients_of_the_Medal_of_Honor. Each medal is "ACCREDITED TO" only one location per example https://www.cmohs.org/recipients/andrew-j-kelley. So no issues with WP:OVERLAPCAT.     Going by the official accredited listing would indeed address my concern with multiple states claiming these heroes.
    I'm less sure about how defining that would be though. With your example, Andrew J. Kelley, we have someone from Indiana, who enlisted in Michigan, won the medal for bravery show in Tennessee, who retired in Minnesota. As per WP:SMALLCAT. Fairly small town and not much rugby played there. We can't create a sub-category for every intersection between a town and a sport. PatGallacher (talk)
