- Nominator's rationale: They were designated commercial astronauts by the FAA (which as a program was ceased after 2021), which is separate from that of traditional Astronauts/Cosmonauts with its own category of Category:Commercial astronauts, as it also included several passengers/space tourists that were technically spaceflight participants as they were not active crew, which is why the program was ceased and now such people are considered spaceflight participants. - Propose renaming Category:19th-century Czech rabbis to Category:19th-century rabbis from Bohemia

- @Marcocapelle Some of the people in these categories, like Asriel Günzig or Romeo Seligmann, were Moravian Jews rather than Bohemian Jews. If you change the name, Moravian Jews will be inaccurately categorized as Bohemian Jews. Why is the parent category called "19th-century Czech people" when this area was part of the Kingdom of Bohemia during this time? I'm not sure if anyone pre-Czechoslovakia should be categorized as Czechs. If the parent category and subcategories like "19th-century Czech people by occupation" and "19th-century Czech women" are renamed as well (and split into Moravian and Bohemian categories), I'm fine with the renaming. Otherwise, it has the effect of othering Jews, so I'd oppose it. I object to the idea that "Czech Jew" is or was an oxymoron. Jews were well-represented within Czech nationalism and the Czech National Revival and often identified themselves as Czechs. - As far as I know, the county of Moravia was considered to be part of the kingdom of Bohemia. I have not nominated all 19th-century Czech categories because in the course of the 19th century people started to identify as part of Czech ethnicity. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:28, 14 September 2025 (UTC)

- Keep or merge to a timeless category (Category:Czech Jews, Category:Czech rabbis). These categories refer to present-day Czech Republic, and these people belong to the history of the Czech Republic. Our categories being organized simultaneously along geographic and historical lines creates this type of mild anachronism, but attempting to solve them usually only creates more problems.
