Nominator's rationale: These seem to be excessively specific categories that should be upmerged somewhere, though the entire category tree is full of this kind of categories: Note Category:Seasons in Chinese men's football cups, Category:Seasons in Chinese football cups, Category:Men's football cup competitions in China... rather difficult to navigate this. 1234qwer1234qwer4 14:51, 1 May 2026 (UTC)

Nominator's rationale: merge, only one article in this category, this is not helpful for navigation. Marcocapelle (talk) 14:46, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge The autonomous communitiy of Cantabria was formed in 1982. From 1833 until maybe 1982 the area was designated the Province of Santander. So for much of the 19th-century there was no place officially known as Cantabria. So the history category would be more appropriate even if we had more articles.John Pack Lambert (talk) 15:47, 5 May 2026 (UTC)

Nominator's rationale: merge, category contains only one article, this is not helpful for navigation. More merge targets are not applicable, the article is already in other subcategories of the parent categories. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:57, 1 May 2026 (UTC)

  • Propose deleting Category:Nature of Taiwan (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) (2 C)
  • Propose deleting Category:Nature of Turkey (2 C)
  • Propose deleting Category:Nature of Ukraine (3 C)
  • Propose deleting Category:Nature of Ukraine by region (2 C)
  • Propose merging Category:Nature of Ternopil Oblast (1 C) to Category:Geography of Ternopil Oblast
Nominator's rationale: delete/merge, apparently abandoned project and it does not look very promising. Subcategories in the countries are also under a Geography or Environment parent, so they do not need to be merged. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:17, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
Delete/Merge Redundant category tree. "Nature" is also imprecise here. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 03:57, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

Nominator's rationale: New article Classical California, which is the clear lead article of the category. I would have applied for a renaming of this category. The only radio station currently associated with USC that is not part of Classical California is a student station without its own article. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 03:19, 20 April 2026 (UTC)

  • Propose Deleting Category:Architecture of Phillips Exeter Academy
Nominator's rationale: WP:PERFCAT
Phillips Exeter Academy is a prestigious private school which can afford to hire famous architects like Louis Kahn and Ralph Adams Cram. But they're famous because they design lots of buildings and categorizing them based on this one commission is non-defining. (PEA Library is also in the category but it's already in Category:Phillips Exeter Academy so no need for a merge.) - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:21, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete, not a defining characteristic of the biographies. We might have a buildings and structures subcategory for the academy, except there is not enough content for it yet. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:07, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete we do not place architects in categories for institutions they did work for. Especially as outside countractors.John Pack Lambert (talk) 09:19, 1 May 2026 (UTC)

Nominator's rationale: WP:CAT#TREE and WP:NARROWCAT
The Noyes Academy was an early desegrated abolitionist school in New Hampshire and, after it was burned by a white mob, some of the students enrolled in the nearby Oneida Institute school. People often change schools, albeit usually for less dramatic reasons, and categorizing by each possible combination seems inherently unworkable. Indeed, in this case it creates a narrow category. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:21, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge per nom. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:08, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge having intersection categories for people having been enrolled in 2 different schools is a?bad plan.John Pack Lambert (talk) 09:20, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
