The result of the discussion was: rename (non-admin closure). GoldRomean (talk) 00:10, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
Nominator's rationale: The artist now records under the name Chuquimamani-Condori; Elysia Crampton is a former name no longer used by the artist. Album categories are routinely maintained under an artist's current article title regardless of the name under which individual releases originally appeared; for example, projects released under Jane Remover's former stage name dltzk (like Teen Week and Frailty (Jane Remover album)) are categorized in Category:Jane Remover albums. Nominator's rationale: The album articles in this category were redirected back in 2023, and all go to Karl Wolf with little discussion about the albums themselves to make this category worthwhile. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 20:53, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Nominator's rationale: Categorizing movie tie-in video games by grouping them the studio that released the original film seems excessive. Also, I don't think Paramount was directly involved in producing any of these games. Trivialist (talk) 16:33, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
Delete: This is too broad of a category scope and appears to be for video game adaptations of media Paramount has released or worked on. Paramount is not a gaming company, so this is a case of overcategorization at best. Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 16:36, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Category:Counties on the James River (Virginia)

Nominator's rationale: This category is very similarly named to another category, to the point where I don't really know the difference... - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat』 15:52, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment, the target is currently at Category:James River (Virginia) counties. Marcocapelle (talk) 18:36, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
    I understand, but I made a CFDS request and I wasn't sure what to do :( - OpalYosutebitotalk』 『articles I want to eat』 23:48, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
I probably would have let the CFDS run it's course before coming here but, oh well, we have the background now. I prefer your proposed rename. RevelationDirect (talk) 14:24, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge per nom. Marcocapelle (talk) 18:38, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Changing that to reverse merge per further discussion below. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:09, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge or Reverse Merge if Kept Not crazy about either of the names, but merge them into one. - RevelationDirect (talk) 21:02, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete both I do not think we need to group counties by bring by a particular river at all.John Pack Lambert (talk) 02:44, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
  • I was actually thinking the same thing yesterday but then I saw the category has several siblings. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:00, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
No opinion on whether the category should be kept; updated my !vote to make that neutrality clearer. - RevelationDirect (talk) 15:37, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge per nom. Category:James River counties follows the format in Category:River counties of the United States. We can discuss the naming system or the existence of the categories later. Mclay1 (talk) 14:27, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment IMHO, The merge should be Category:James River counties merging into the existing Category:Counties on the James River (Virginia). Right now, "James River Counties" is completely empty except as a container for the original (longer named) category. The longer category name is better since not everyone knows that the James River is in Virginia. (Imagine you are an non-resident trying to learn about the United States) Moreover, the category is important because inland Virginia was originally settled along the path of the James River, so having this category is very useful in tracing Virginia history Peace, MPS (talk) 15:01, 17 June 2026 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was: delete (non-admin closure). GoldRomean (talk) 00:09, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
Nominator's rationale: Redundant category layer container only an article and the subcategory Category:Creole cottage architecture in the United States. Per the article, this architectural style is specific to the United States, so the subcategory suffices. (If it did exist outside the US, we have no articles about it as far as I can see.) The article and subcategory are already sufficiently categorised so no merge is needed. Mclay1 (talk) 14:43, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete per nom. Marcocapelle (talk) 15:35, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete/Comment Support per nom. I think there's also some WP:SHAREDNAME going on in that broader tree with French Colonial Creole architecture in Louisiana and and Ponce creole in Puerto Rico, but that can be for another time. -  Preceding unsigned comment added by RevelationDirect (talkcontribs) 20:57, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

  • Propose deleting Category:1485 disasters
Nominator's rationale: merge, per WP:OCYEAR, isolated one-article category, this is not helpful for navigation. Merging is not needed, the article is already in Category:1485 in health and Category:15th-century disease outbreaks. Marcocapelle (talk) 14:08, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Nominator's rationale: The relevant article is now titled Indy Art Center, and the category naming convention is the usual one for the collections of museums and similar organizations, as can be seen here. Ham II (talk) 07:47, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Years and decades in pre-colonial Indonesia

Nominator's rationale: merge, per WP:OCYEAR, isolated one- or two-articles categories, this is not helpful for navigation. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:17, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Support as being too narrow to aid navigation and without objection to future recreation if our coverage grows substantially for Indonesia. -RevelationDirect (talk) 20:59, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge Indonesia does not exist until the 1940s. What next will we have 19th-century in Pakistan and 19th-century in Israel categories. This is anachronism we do not need.John Pack Lambert (talk) 02:46, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
That's a good point. Maybe we can look at some of the naming of the target categories in a follow up discussion after this closes. RevelationDirect (talk) 14:25, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Support merging. Though it should be merged to the "*th century in Indonesia". If we merged them to Dutch East Indies like John Pack Lambert suggestion, then all category for 16th century and bellow would need to be moved to, and that seems to be WP:OR since the region didn't even called Dutch East Indies at that time. Not to mention there are multiple kingdoms too so there will be debates on how to name each centuries. - Ivan530 (Talk) 08:32, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
    • Indonesia is a wonder that is not even invented until the 19th-century and not fully used in the modern sense until the 1940s. I would say for cases where Dutch East Indies does not apply we can just merge to Asia.John Pack Lambert (talk) 14:31, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

Category:Medical scandals in the Republic of Ireland

Nominator's rationale: This has more articles than the parent category, which would make sense if the remaining articles were about Northern Ireland, but both of those are about the Republic of Ireland rather than NI. Either title may be okay but right now the categories are redundant. Sesquilinear (talk) 05:00, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Category:18th-century counts in Europe

Nominator's rationale: Redundant category layer, upmerge for now SMasonGarrison 03:19, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
