It has the {{Empty category}} template. In the future, it's not impossible that pages may populate this category. The category must exist in order for pages to populate it. If the category is deleted and pages later are tagged with Expert Needed (in this specific topic), the category will not show as a redlinked one at the bottom of the article. See aslo CFD. Why have you not discussed with the deleting admin? Why have you not notified them of this discussion as is mandatory. - Overturn the C1 closing as an empty category. This was a maintenance category, which may be empty some of them time or even most of the time. This category could have been used by an editor who was a subject matter expert on Saudi Arabia who would check the category to see if any articles had been assigned to them, and address the issues, and remove the articles from the category. The category is not deleted because there are no articles needing expert attention, because another article might need expert attention in the future. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:28, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

- This was tagged as {{Empty category}} before the deletion. MSGJ removed the template with no edit summary in 2023, and it was dutifully deleted seven days later. - (There was an edit summary.) Anyway, this edit was a result of the request at Template talk:WikiProject Saudi Arabia#Attention parameter. It was stated that Category:Saudi Arabia articles needing attention was unused because the project banner did not support the relevant parameter. Pinging @GoingBatty. I think my edit to Category:Saudi Arabia articles needing expert attention was necessary to remove it from its parent category, but I didn't intend for it to get deleted — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:03, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
- "rmv cat" isn't that useful an edit summary. In any event simply deleting Category:Saudi Arabia articles needing attention would have worked as is - {{expert subject category}} uses #ifexist magic. * Pppery * it has begun... 21:38, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
