• "On April 30, Toronto waived Kristy Wallace (23rd pick)." - reframing it as "On April 30, Toronto waived 23rd pick Kristy Wallace." would avoid a slight sea of blue
• "Denotes player who never played in the WNBA regular season or playoffs" - isn't it a bit presumptive to say that Adja Kane "never" played in the WNBA? That makes it sound like her career is over. Maybe change "never played" to "has not played"......?

  @ChrisTheDude Regarding "Denotes player who never played in the WNBA regular season or playoffs": I agree with your suggestion, but the wording is part of {{WNBA Draft legend}} and not something that I can easily change. Both NBA and WNBA drafts include nationality. I presume it is a mix of the leagues being American + Toronto and the fact that so many international players are in both leagues these days. -- ZooBlazer 22:52, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

Okay, I'll go ahead and do the full review here and now.

• There are two big cities named Portland in the U.S. (one in Maine and one in Oregon). I would clarify at the city's first mention which state.
• "...was awarded a team that same year on September 18." --> Personal preference, but I would go with "...was awarded a team on September 18 that same year."
• from 2000–2002 --> from 2000 to 2002
• "The Tempo's selections included acquiring Julie Allemand from the Los Angeles Sparks with the second overall pick." --> This sentence reads awkwardly; I would rephrase somehow, at least removing the "acquiring".

• The last two bullet points are not actual sentences, and don't need periods at the end.

I will be doing a full review of the prose soon, but an initial reading is promising! I did have some initial comments I wanted to raise on the selections section first:

• My main concern here is the pictures. Because the table is fairly wide, the current setup clashes badly with where the photos are and doesn't look very good. On two different computers, I have to scroll 1.5 screen lengths to get from the Abbreviation and # tables to the Selection table, where most of the screen is blank bar the four photos. Could these photos be moved or distributed across the article better? Or displayed horizontally along the same 'row'?

  I just copied over the format from 2012 NBA draft since that was one that I got promoted to FL and image issues were not brought up there so I though it would be okay. Since they look fine to me currently, would you be able to mock up your ideas so I can see how things work when they also work for your monitors?

• Inserting uninvited comment: The table/photos display fine on my desktop because it has a wide screen, but on a smaller screen, the photos are stacked on the right with the table underneath, creating a whitespace as RandomEdits mentions. Because the table is wide, I suspect a lot of readers are seeing the article this way. I would recommend arranging the photos in a horizontal gallery above the key.   @ZooBlazer: Sure that's no problem, I've updated my sandbox here with what I was thinking. From the looks of it, it's along the same idea as Bgsu98 has. For me at least, whatever level of zoom or computer I'm using (standard monitors, no widescreen), this gallery tucks in nicely to the right of the Position table and avoids any whitespace.   Thanks Zoo, looks like we missed each other by a minute there! If you don't mind I've moved the gallery up slightly so the positioning was a little better, but the actual horizontal approach you did is exactly what I was looking for. No offense taken if you/someone else reverts my move, I think this is going to be one of those cases where everyone's screens will make it look different - ultimately the giant screen of whitespace has been taken care of one way or the other, which was my main concern here.

  The rest of the table looks good to me, so I will move onto looking at the prose before that section shortly.

  @RandomEditsForWhenIRemember I think it looks good currently. Just thinking about in the future if the key gets expanded, such as if one of the players is selected as an all star, it adds empty space below the images with each additional section of the key.   Sorry ZooBlazer, looks like my response got eaten by my browser somehow. It's a support from me, with the changes suggested by everyone else I found the article very approachable even without much knowledge of how basketball drafts work. Perhaps in a few years, it would be intetesting to see if any analysis could be done to see how the draft picks (or the two teams) all faired in their career, but that's no reason why this can't be featured now.
