In 2022, there was a FfD discussion regarding a large amount of decorative infobox images being added to articles on Breaking Bad episodes with little to no contextual relevance to the article and solely existing for decorative purpose. Here, we see the exact same issues arise.

Basically, per Template:Infobox television episode on adding infobox images: "An image, if needed. Wikilinking, "File:", and pixel size not required. Remember, virtually all TV screenshots are copyrighted, so they must be low resolution, and be accompanied by a non-free use rationale. There is no blanket allowance for an image per episode. A non-free screenshot should be used only if it meets the Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria, i.e. typically if it is required to illustrate a crucial element of the episode that is the object of explicit, sourced analytical commentary and where that commentary is in genuine need of visual support". WP:NONFREE also states that non-free images in an article must have a valid, in-depth fair use rationale and a clear purpose in the article. None of these images here have that, they serve solely decorative use, with little to no critical commentary about them specifically. In-fact, their fair use rationale is always some form of "Give the reader a highlight of the episode". What constitutes a highlight is not discussed in the article at all and is, once again, fully decorative. As such, they should be deleted.

I will also note three more things:

1. The image for "Felina" is almost identical to one I uploaded myself back in 2023 and was promptly deleted at FfD for reasons I myself bring up now.
2. The image for "Granite State" was uploaded to seemingly replace . This particular image is in use at the Granite State (Breaking Bad) article to actually demonstrate a significant moment that is discussed in the article: the phone call between Walt and his Son. The entire analysis section covers this scene and the images inclusion helps illustrate it, as well as the tone of the whole episode. I demonstrated a fair use rationale for that one and it passed GA with that image still in use; this new image does not have a valid fair use rationale.
3. There are far more Breaking Bad episode articles that have been receiving infobox images over the past few months with little to no critical commentary behind them. I was unsure if I could nominate them here as well due to them being uploaded by different accounts. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if due to the similar fair use rationale between all of these there's some sort of relation between them. I will nominate those at a different date.

  Want "sufficient grounds"? I see a huge key, one of iconic Big Brother elements, and one of Big Brother logos, but it's hard to tell whether it clearly identifies Big Brother 27. It appears as if it was promoting any other (later?) Big Brother season. Looks like a teaser poster to me. BTW, do you have issues with the a poster (displaying Connie Chung and) replacing the other image (another FFD discussion)? Having looked through the pictures more carefully, I think File:Daniel Craig – Film Premiere "Spectre".JPG or File:Daniel Craig - Film Premiere "Spectre" 007 - on the Red Carpet in Berlin (22387409720).jpg could possibly be suitable. The question is, I suppose, what specific elements need to be present in a given image for it to be suitable to illustrate the character, other than Craig himself. silviaASH (inquire within) 02:27, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

If used as the lead (or infobox) image, this free image you picked still wouldn't reflect the character accurately, would it? It should replace the 2015 one used in the Casting section, nonetheless. George Ho (talk) 07:56, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

What would reflect the character accurately? You could say that it should be a screenshot from the film, but there are other live action film characters that have free images of actors photographed in costume to represent the character- for example Jack Sparrow and Loki (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Granted, both of those characters have more distinctive costumes that make them sufficiently recognizable in those photos, making them unambiguously equivalent free substitutes for film screenshots even if the actors were not necessarily performing in character at the time the photos were taken, which Bond does not- it's just Craig in a suit. There may thus be some case to be made that additional distinguishing characteristics are required, though I'm not at present convinced this is the case.

So the question is, what is needed for a photo to be recognized by readers as Craig's Bond? Does he need to be in character, holding a gun, wearing the outfit, in a recognizable scene from the films? I personally think that as long as he's dressed as he is in the films it's sufficient, and therefore either the Spectre premiere photos or wax figure images are fine, but I'd be open to hearing a stronger counterargument against this. silviaASH (inquire within) 08:35, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

• Either keep as-is or a film screenshot. Aside from a wax statue that was replaced by this non-free image not too long ago, no free alternative is suitable as a lead image, especially to represent Craig's version of Bond.   Can't use ones belonging to the Everett Collection (GQ article) per WP:GETTY. Can't use this one either; seen on Getty Images. Unsure about Craig clasping his hands and just wearing a watch. Phew! Found a photo of him holding a gun and wearing a tuxedo suit. Another one as well but in different non-suit clothes. Another one in casual clothes. George Ho (talk) 04:17, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

To me this not an unnecessary depiction of Daniel Craig's James Bond character when in fact is more reliable than the one of the wax figure which to me is not sufficient to illustrate the character in the infobox. Also why is there a problem with the using of this image in the Craig's James Bond character page but not with the ones of the wiki pages of Le Chiffre and Vesper when those images are also screenshots but no issues with those ones.
