WP:NFCC #3a and 8. Image is non-free and does not convey any significant information not already conveyed by the main cover. estar8806 (talk) 03:23, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

Delete per nom. Is this used in an article? If not, it meets the criteria for speedy. CabinetCavers (talk) 13:54, 12 November 2025 (UTC)

This logo is below the threshold of originality. Move it to Commons. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 15:10, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

Also rename it to "National Hockey League logo.svg" Candidyeoman55 (talk) 15:23, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
  • This is a copyrighted logo of a sports league. How is it possibly below a threshold of originality? The license seems correct, similar to File:National Basketball Association logo.svg. It was first used in the 2005–06 NHL season, hence the name. It should not be renamed since the date differentiates other NHL logos such as File:NHL100th.png and File:NHL 1992.png. ok Imakeflagsthe3rd (talk) 17:13, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
Can it be proved? What does the US Copyright Office say about this logo? Candidyeoman55 (talk) 17:42, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
    yes Imakeflagsthe3rd (talk) 18:28, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
i think it will likely be kept the way it is. But add the registration code or number to the description page. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 10:00, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
Even though I think 3D effects should not push anything above the threshold of originality. For example, American Airlines was able to copyright their recent eagle logo. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 10:12, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
And I disagree with the Copyright Office's decision to grant copyright to the American Airlines 2013 eagle logo. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 10:16, 8 November 2025 (UTC)

Also below the threshold of originality. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 15:10, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

Its used as in a very popular page, so I will vote keep. Imakeflagsthe3rd (talk) 16:22, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
I couldn't find any registration of the NFL logo at the US Copyright Office's website. Only them can say for certain if the logo is copyrighted. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 17:18, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
Bold your decision. CabinetCavers (talk) 13:55, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
Keep. Please stop saying this. The "threshold of originality" refers to whether an image can be classified as P.D. or not. You can change the licensing status without deletion OmegaAOLtalk? 00:50, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
Also, the NFL logo is indeed copyrighted. OmegaAOLtalk? 00:52, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
How can you prove it? Candidyeoman55 (talk) 10:41, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

No need for two logos on this article; File:Highland H.png, which is a PD-textlogo, is sufficient. Stifle (talk) 16:20, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

Consider whether this should be retagged as PD-textlogo and moved to Commons. Stifle (talk) 16:30, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

The photograph used in this album is https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:James_Taylor_Billboard_1971.jpg and so I think it may be uploadable to Commons because the rest doesn't meet the threshold of originality. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 20:29, 6 November 2025 (UTC)

  • Keep as is. I disagree with the notion that the edits made for the album cover are below the threshold or originality, as it is designed to look like a beat-up scrapbook. plicit 02:33, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep as non-free - The transformation of the work is not just the addition of simple shapes or text so I agreee with Explicit that this exceeds the threshold needed to establish a copyright. -- Whpq (talk) 16:20, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
