Ed Sheeran is British, yes, but the origin of the album cover is probably still the U.S. as the record labels (Asylum and Atlantic) are both American. Nutella lover[ chatsupervise ] 12:30, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

What's the argument here? It sounds like you're arguing this is copyrighted in the US, which would mean this falls under WP:PD#Fonts. Even if the copyright is held in the UK, this satisfies WP:NFCC. estar8806 (talk) 21:42, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
The argument, I believe, is that the country of origin for this work should be considered the US, so this image should be moved to commons rather than locally hosted. Based5290 :3 (talk) 07:24, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
I think this file could be suitable with c:COM:TOO US based on who released this album officially. Sinsyuan✍️HBDTRTS 12:38, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
I'm so sorry for being 11 days late, but yes, that is my argument. Nutella lover[ chatsupervise ] 08:23, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
  • I thought about (reluctantly) favoring transfer to Commons as "simultaneously published", but it seems hand-painted, and the green background resembles some canvas board or something like that. Perhaps I'm too nitpick-y on this? George Ho (talk) 08:39, 26 April 2026 (UTC)

I think this file can be moved to Commons for below c:COM:TOO Taiwan. Sinsyuan✍️HBDTRTS 13:02, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

Unconvinced that a DVD cover featuring Edward Petherbridge as Lord Peter Wimsey contextually signifies the character and is needed. Indeed, multiple actors have portrayed this character, and I doubt one version is more significant than the other. Oh, and it's used at a section about TV adaptations of this character. Fails WP:NFCC8, not necessary for context as one non-free cover is already included. estar8806 (talk) 21:37, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

Just now noticed that the description refers to some discussion in the article's content, however the exclusion of this image is neither detrimental to the reader's understanding nor critically significant enough (ie. simply describing the cover without commentary is not enough). estar8806 (talk) 21:40, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
Keep: While one non-free cover is already included, the alternative artwork is specifically discussed in sourced content and tied to the visual concept of the project. Per WP:NFCC#8, its inclusion helps illustrate the distinct aesthetic referenced in the article. Additionally, coverage notes that the production design of Lady Gaga in Harlequin Live: One Night Only was inspired by this alternate visual style. Omitting the image would limit readers' understanding of that connection. CHr0m4tiko0 (talk) 15:43, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Keep : In my 16 years on Wikipedia, this is the first time I have uploaded an alternative cover, and the rationale is clear. The artwork is first discussed in the Release section, supported by multiple sources that specifically analyze this cover, and is then addressed again in Promotion. There was only one concert held in promotion of the album, and its staging and visual design were based on what is depicted in this artwork. The connection is explicitly sourced and directly relevant to the article's content. The image is not decorative but illustrative of sourced material, and its omission would limit the reader's understanding of that relationship. Sricsi (talk) 17:29, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
