| An important part of this project is collaborating with the Wikipedia community for image requests. The TCMI collection is made up of 110,000 artifacts. Please see their collections page for details. Any and all image and content requests are welcome. Please post them below. |
Image and content requests
Please add any requests that you have for museum images or research content. See the Commons category for images already donated by the museum. You can also check the online artifact database to get a sense of the types of objects in the collection. But note that this is only 1,000 of the 110,000 objects in the collection.

- Items related to the history of communications, postal service, postage stamps, stamp collecting, etc.

If you need details on a specific object from the collection, either in an image from the Backstage Pass day or an image present in the TCM Category on Commons, please list it here, with a link. I will have the Collections staff double check your information, if necessary.

- Resources: Chicken and shoe coffins in TCM collection. Paa Joe is the artist of the figural coffins in TCMI's collection. There is a specific publication on the chicken coffin.
- Resources: TCMI has vertical files and digital files on family. Have funeral procession and trees of life artworks in collection.
- Resources: Woven elastic basketry helmet, 1 of only 5 in the world. Have vertical file information on Hawaiian Chief's Helmet currently on display at the IMA.
