This year's Seattle Wiknic will be on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 12pm to 3pm, in the Washington Park Arboretum (pending Seattle Parks and Recreation approval). We'll meet at the picnic tables in the meadow area, approximately at 47.6376°N 122.2938°W, to the south of the Graham Visitors Center. Check out meta:Cascadia Wikimedians for activities in the broader region. Sign up below! Please indicate what food or drink you plan to bring. Plan on serving at least 8. Bring blankets or tarps to sit on as there are only two picnic tables!

Directions
The nearest bus stops on 24th Avenue East at McGraw Street are a 15-minute walk (0.6 miles) away; a portion of the walking route is unpaved, but there are paved alternatives that take longer. These bus stops are served by King County Metro route 48, which runs every 15 minutes from two light rail stations on the 1 Line: University of Washington and Mount Baker.
For those who need to drive, we encourage car pooling and parking in the lots along E. Foster Island Rd and Broadmoor Dr E. The intersection of these two is at 47.6410802°N 122.2930996°W. These lots are less than a half mile walk to the site.
Due to concerns about impacting the use of the visitor center parking lot, we ask that only people with disabilities and ambulatory issues park there.

Please indicate what food or drink you plan to bring. Plan on serving at least 8. Frisbees and soccer balls are welcome. Note that alcohol, drugs, and drones are prohibited under Seattle Park Rules & Regulations.

- I am a young Wikipedian and do not have the control over what my family does and I am also the only one that believes Wikipedia is good. I will be in the Seattle area till the 8th but I won’t be going to the Wiknic. Boeing777xPilot (talk)
