If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request a technical move below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

  • Please make sure you really need technical assistance before making a request here. In particular, if the target page is a redirect back to the source page that has only one revision, you can usually move the page normally.
  • To list a technical request: edit the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

    This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
  • To request a reversion of a recent undiscussed move: Review the guidelines at WP:RMUM of whether a reversion of an undiscussed move qualifies as uncontroversial and if so, edit the Requests to revert undiscussed moves subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

Note that in some cases, clerks, such as administrators or page movers may determine that your request for a reversion does not pass the criteria and may move the request to the contested section or open a formal requested move discussion for potentially controversial moves on your behalf.
  • If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
  • If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page. A bot will automatically remove contested requests after 72 hours of inactivity.

I am contesting the move mage by a use. It was factually wrong.
I made a request here a few days ago regarding the page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Help_desk#problem_with_merger
There are two pages on wikipedia with the same name. One for the village Racaria, one from the commune Racaria, which is a territorial organization with 2 that included 2 villages- Racaria and Usuarei. Both villages have separate histories and make a commune together.
They are not in the same place, but are located several km away. I am from the region, so I know. It is the place my family is from.
The user reverted my page dedicated to village. where I added history and information about the village. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=R%C4%83c%C4%83ria,_R%C3%AE%C8%99cani&oldid=1349282057

So start it. You did not check that there are two wiki items about it.
There is village Racaria, with it's own history, census and else.
There is a village Usurei, a separate location, also with it's own history. It can be viewed here, in Romanian Wikipedia. Comuna Răcăria, Rîșcani

The album has gotten less than 1 view per day in every month of the last 5 years, and there is also a third topic. I think it's fair to say the album isn't a dominant topic (although the two songs don't seem especially notable either). —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 16:18, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

  • Volevo i pantaloni (film) → Volevo i pantaloniVolevo i pantaloni (currently a redirect instead to Good Girls Don't Wear Trousers) (move · discuss) – Novel was officially released in English, so the Italian title should refer to the film.     @ColeFrye, I'm familiar with and have contributed to the draft, so I'm willing to carry this out. The main thing I would say was missing: some sourcing to confirm the title (either in the article on here on the request page) for next time. I've found sources and it seems that the title includes "The Movie" so I'll be moving to K-Pop Superstar: The Movie. Leaving this on the page a bit longer for the requester to see since feedback is included in the reply. One more thing, being in post-production in and of itself isn't quite relevant, but in this case, multiple outlets have reported on the production period and it being a first of a kind in order to establish WP:NFF. -2pou (talk) 17:58, 20 April 2026 (UTC)

    The scope of the article has been expanded to cover Somalia’s natural resources as a whole rather than only the mineral industry. The current title is therefore no longer accurate or comprehensive. When I try to move it myself it says "A redirect already exists at Natural resources of Somalia, and it cannot be deleted automatically." –Yubudirsi (talk) 20:25, 20 April 2026 (UTC)

    Your technical request has been contested by User:Thilio, it therefore needs wp:consensus by the community, to do that you can hit "discuss" above which will start a seven day requested move discussion which will yield a result that then will be carried out.
