Adding two more related redirects. _signed, Rosguill ^talk 16:52, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

• Delete at least the two miscapitalized "FIlms" redirects as unambiguous errors since they're newly created and unlikely to be harmful deletions.
Weak Retarget the other two to Viva Entertainment, where they are at least mentioned (although unreferenced), making a better target (if not deleted). FWIW: this logo at least links Neo and Viva Entertainment, although it's a fandom site. -2pou (talk) 21:23, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

• Delete the misspelled ones, which are pretty much useless, since the search bar is not case sensitive. Retarget the two others per 2pou, as they are mentioned at the suggested target. Not a very active user (talk) 12:28, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

• Retarget per above. Cross-namespace redirects are not inherently harmful, the potential problems come when someone searching for encyclopaedic information lands in project-space. Retrieved September 10, 2020 from https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/Diprotium-oxide making it a plausible redirect, clear intent of page-creator to have a mainspace redirect (see Talk:Dihydrogen monoxide parody#How do I link the term "diprotium monoxide" to this page?). Arguments for outright deletion: 1) The term is not in the target even after an attempt was made to add it, and 2) Compared to other alternative names listed in the target, it comes up much less often in a Google search - roughly 300 results vs. roughly 70,000 results for hydric acidhydric acid and more for dihydrogen oxidedihydrogen oxide and hydrogen monoxidehydrogen monoxide, see also Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2014 May 24#Dihydrogen monoxide. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:09, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• Welch languageWelch language → Welsh language  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

Brand newly created, "Welch" is an archaic spelling of "Welsh", but per WP:PANDORA, there's no reason to create redirects to every page that contains "Welsh" in the name replaced with an archaic spelling. The dab page at "Welch" already indicates this. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 16:50, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• If archaic spelling is inappropriate, then why we have Scotch language redirecting to Languages of Scotland? It should be deleted as well (there should be no citing of WP:OTHER since we are talking about redirect deletion here, not article). --Soumya-8974 ^talk _contribs ^subpages 17:05, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• Weak Delete (was Neutral): I created this link after a request at AFC. I researched it first and found an 1816 book, An English and Welsh vocabulary: or, An easy guide to the antient British language. To which is prefixed, a grammar of the Welsh language, by T. Richards. Also, A dissertation on the Welsh language, by J. Walters. However, Google search results and Google Books have it mis-titled as An English and Welch vocabulary: or, An easy guide to the antient British language. To which is prefixed, a grammar of the Welch language, by T. Richards. Also, A dissertation on the Welsh language, by J. Walters which fooled me (search, book). I was going to be "neutral" until I realized I'd been fooled - along with a lot of other people - by a bad transcription. It's a "weak" delete because the term still pops up in unrelated search results (search, example). davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 17:17, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
• Keep as a standard {{R from obsolete spelling}}: well attested in the older literature . – Uanfala (talk) 17:22, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Redirects are there to aid linking and searching. Anyone searching for information on the Welsh language is not going to be spelling it like this. At best, they simply don't know that "Welch" is an archaic spelling of "Welsh", but Wikipedia is not a dictionary, and it's inappropriate to create redirects for every possible obsolete/archaic spelling variant of every word that was ever used. As I already mentioned, the dab page at Welch already lists this fact, and that's more than enough for our purposes. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 17:34, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

We very definitely do create redirects for attested historic spellings. This redirect is not for readers who come with the intention of reading about the Welsh language, but for those who encounter this particular term in the literature and come here to check what it is (or to double-check it is what they believe it is). I don't see the relevance of the page Welch and its mention, buried very deep, of this alternative spelling – readers who search for "Welch language" will not land at that page. – Uanfala (talk) 17:48, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

These races appear to be distinct, although held at the same location. No mention at the target. Note that Eddie Gilstrap Motors ARCA Fall Classic redirects to ARCA Menards Series and appears to refer to the same subject, although it's not mentioned by name there either. I would weakly lean towards redirecting to ARCA Menards Series on that basis. _signed, Rosguill ^talk 15:46, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• Delete - "Eddie Gilstrap Motors" is the former sponsor of the race which could generically be called the Fall Classic or Fall Classic 200. This redirect was probably created since the 2019 edition was called the "Kentuckiana Ford Dealers Fall Classic 200". Unless something about this race can be added to the existing target (since they are both ARCA races held at Salem Speedway), then I would suggest deletion since there is no mention at current target or at ARCA Menards Series. • Banrey and Firends → Barney & Friends  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

The double error crosses the line into implausbility, IMO. Created by blocked sock. Hog Farm _Bacon 15:38, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• Demonic Dinosaur → Barney & Friends  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

Doesn't seem to quite meet WP:G10, but I don't think this is a great redirect to keep around. Hog Farm _Bacon 14:38, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• Delete: The title "Demonic Dinosaur" doesn't seem to be used in this context at all and clearly fails to meet WP:N requirements. The redirect also leads people away from real articles such as Demons and Dinosaurs and Devil Dinosaur. TXAggie (talk) 02:06, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

• Barney... Let's Imagine Tour in Manila → Barney & Friends  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

Not mentioned at target article. Only seems to be mentioned at List of entertainment events at the Araneta Center, in a table that only gives the dates and name of the show. I guess we could retarget there, but deletion seems better. Hog Farm _Bacon 14:37, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• Very weak retarget to Anti-Barney humor (what this thing smells of) or delete. I don't know if it would really be associated with criticism so much as insults. Regards, SONIC678 16:04, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

• MoooonMoooon → Subsatellite  (talk · links · history · stats)     [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]

Obscure synonym. Soumya-8974 ^talk _contribs ^subpages 14:03, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

• Delete. So obscure that I can't even find a single reference to it anywhere. It's more plausible as a typo for "moon" for someone with a sticky O key, but even that's pretty implausible. (We don't even have one with 3 O's, which I probably shouldn't mention per WP:BEANS, but whatever). –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 14:28, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
• Keep - Seems I created this WP:Redirect some time ago (11 October 2018) - at the time, there may have been a very good WP:RS suggesting "moooon" as another name for a "moon of a moon", or Subsatellite - although I found these references,^[1][2][3] I'm unable to locate an even better WP:RS reference at the moment - *entirely* ok with me to do whatever WP:CONSENSUS decides of course - Drbogdan (talk) 14:45, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
• Keep - There's reliable sources like Smithsonian (magazine) ,^[4] which I've added to the target. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 00:40, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
  • Comment - Thank you *very much* for finding this "WP:RS" "Smithsonian (magazine)" reference^[4] - this reference (published on 11 October 2018) is likely the one that had inspired me to create the "Moooon" redirect on the same date (ie, 11 October 2018) - Thanks again - and - Stay Safe and Healthy !! - Drbogdan (talk) 01:30, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
