Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

Retarget to Hot dog. Shy Glizzy is not typically known by the mononym Glizzy, and the use of the term as a synonym for hot dog has considerably increased since this was last nominated in 2021. 162 etc. (talk) 06:46, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

Retarget per nom 𝔅𝔦𝔰-𝔖𝔢𝔯𝔧𝔢𝔱𝔞? 19:41, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

  • Retarget to Glossary of Generation Z slang#G per 162 etc. That page mentions both uses of "Glizzy" ("hot dog" and "Glock"). Redirecting to Hot dog would surprise people who aren't familiar with the slang term. 🦬 Beefaloe 🦬 (talk) 06:58, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
  • Retarget to Glossary of Generation Z slang#G per Beefaloe, strong oppose targeting hot dog where the phrase "glizzy" isn't mentioned, confusing people who come across the redirect when there is no obvious verification that people can use to confirm they ended up at the right spot. Algeria in the Eurovision Song Contest

Bundled nomination for a bunch of redirects created for various countries/territories and "in the Eurovision Song Contest". In all cases these countries have never taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest, but have at one time or another been talked about as potential new competing countries in purely hypothetical situations, or have had broadcasters in these countries air the contest. In some cases these countries are eligible to compete due to having public broadcasters as members of the European Broadcasting Union, however beyond hypotheticals there has been no serious attempt by these countries to compete. There is no useful page history to protect by keeping these redirects, and keeping these redirects does not serve any useful purpose as a search term. Related to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 July 1#India in the Eurovision Song Contest and Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 July 8#Afghanistan in the Eurovision Song Contest. Sims2aholic8 (talk) 16:45, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

  • Delete per nom. These are extremely unlikely search terms for countries that cannot actually do what their descriptive titles say. It appears that many of these were created just because the show played on tv a handful of times in the respective countries. Grk1011 (talk) 20:11, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was Speedy delete. Requested by Rich Farmbrough (talk · contribs) using {{G7}}; deleted by Maile66. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:46, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2021 May 14#Template:Commonwealth English and Template:Use Commonwealth English decided to delete {{Use Commonwealth English}}, more or less on the grounds that "Commonwealth English" isn't a coherent dialect with a dictionary; it could refer to any of a number of dialects. The consensus was to pick a specific one, and Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style#Neutral alternative decided {{Use British English}} was fine in ambiguous cases. -- Beland (talk) 16:39, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

If you talk to me rather than template me, you'll spend less time. I've {{G7}}'d it. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 16:46, 10 July 2025 (UTC).
  • Delete as potentially confusing. Firstly Canada is part of the commonwealth and has its own distinct spelling. Even if we excluded Canada, while there are not a lot of spelling differences among commonwealth varieties of English there are some, certainly enough we should not have scripts or bots modifying them to the British English standard without explicitly specifying that style. 204.111.137.20 (talk) 16:53, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

Not mentioned at target. Unless someone can add a source for it or add this player on the squad list at the squad section, just delete unless the player is actually mentioned. Servite et contribuere (talk) 12:55, 24 June 2025 (UTC)

  • Retarget to Delhi Redz. Deepak Punia currently plays for the Delhi Redz and his name appears in the article. Katiedevi (talk) 20:26, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
  • Delete people change or leave teams all the time, so redirecting to the team will become meaningless if/when he leaves that team, as he'll no longer be mentioned there. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:30, 26 June 2025 (UTC)

DVDactive is the name of a defunct website similar to DVD Talk or TVShowsOnDVD.com that featured news about upcoming DVD releases. (The current DVDactive.com is not the same site.) The DVD article is about DVD technology and doesn't mention the website DVDactive. Unless a suitable target for DVDactive exists, I propose that this redirect be deleted. — Paper Luigi TC 03:53, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

  • Comment there was a mention at the time of the redirect's creation . The problem is that the sourcing needed to justify restoring the mention is probably not there. 204.111.137.20 (talk) 17:01, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
  • Delete as per WP:RETURNTORED. Unless sourcing enough to justify adding it back to the article is found... we won't have the information someone searching for this redirect would be looking for. And it's not our job to FIND said sourcing, either. This is exactly the job of a redlink-- to flag to the reader that we don't- possibly shouldn't, but definitely don't-- have the information they seek, and if THEY know of enough sourcing to justify adding information, they know that they can, and should, add it.
