- Retarget(refine), per Mdewman6. I don't understand the basis for the Rfd. It's a complaint that the redirect is not a redirect from an alternative name, but it's not the only allowed redirect category. This redirect was categorized as "R from related topic". - Keep all to discourage this sort of nomination. These redirects aren't useful but they're also not problematic; as far as I can see the targets are completely unambiguous. It's annoying to see notifications related to redirects that would otherwise never have interacted with my life in any way. --Trovatore (talk) 21:21, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- What's actually annoying is someone complaining that they were notified in the manner which Wikipedia is set up so that all applicable parties get notified appropriately (I'm guessing in this case via a watchlisted page that at least one of the nominated redirects target, or maybe even a user page of one of the editors who created at least one of these redirects), but here we are... Word to the wise though: I've seen someone get blocked in the past for adamantly standing by complaints such as yours since such complaints, I guess, can be taken as "not community friendly". - I don't think we need to create all-lowercase redirects / initial capital only redirects for every article... How would someone reach those pages from search? - Keep all There were browsers that would take the input "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African union" and render them as "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African+union", while that is not common anymore, I am almost certain these are all a result of that and deleting them does nothing to help the reader but does harm a number of incoming links. The hatnote at American Pharoah points directly to Bob Bradley § Egypt, which is more appropriate than using the redirect. The Bob Bradley article contains essentially no information about the documentary other than mentioning that it exists.
