approximant fails verification entirely; is purely based on conjecture from a singular author's narrow transcription of ɰ̊ in a set of recordings on an archived dead link, and the articulation of the sound is never explained. extrapolations from IPA symbols alone are not enough to be considered reliable sourcing, as author intentions may be ambiguous.

a fangame by the VERY SUBTLY TITLED newer team. unmentioned in the target, doesn't seem to have ever been mentioned, and not a fitting target anyway since the target is about official games. i'll note while i'm here that i did find what could be a small amount of reliable sources for some of the newer soup games, but seemingly not enough for an article on any of them, or on the newer team itself. and that a lot of the other results were any mix of incoherent, charging money for a modded rom, and written in some indecipherable glyphs consarn (talck) (contirbuton s) 17:02, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

Because this is the lowercase character, it might be problematic since MediaWiki capitalizes the first character of a page name by default. BodhiHarp 16:00, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Can you elaborate? "Might be problematic" doesn't give me confidence that there's actually a problem. It sounds like you want the title of the redirect to be shown as lowercase, which can be accomplished using {{DISPLAYTITLE}}. -- Tavix (talk) 16:30, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- These characters don't display properly on my browser so I may be missing something, but the target covers both upper and lowercase forms. Having the lowercase as a redirect will still make it work for wikilinks and when entered into search. --MYCETEAE 🍄🟫—talk 16:58, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Keep The lower case version of this should continue to be redirected. I don't believe there are any issues without how this is displayed as it id splayed to me as lowercase (or at least the glyph displayed as the title is the one for A7CF (), which is lowercase as A7CE () is uppercase), but an explicit {{DISPLAYTITLE|}} could be added to not have the potential for a problem. Casablanca 🪨(T) 17:22, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- But won't MediaWiki automatically capitalize the first character of a page title?
- I don't know if DISPLAYTITLE will work either because it doesn't change the URL.
- Won't it become impossible to view this page and stuff because of this?
- BodhiHarp 18:14, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Mediawiki only capitalizes what it detects as lower case, and it at least seems not to detect this as lower case. Using the magic word "uc", the result of
{{uc:}}is , which is the lowercase glyph. DISPLAYTITLE should work fine as, but I do not think it is needed. It shouldn't be impossible to view the page. While I cannot find a font that displays this, that doesn't necessarily mean none exist; however, even if none exist it probably should still exist as it is the glyph for it, but it's an odd case. Casablanca 🪨(T) 18:48, 14 October 2025 (UTC)- But I think the point is that uc: is wrong here, because these are such recent additions to Unicode, and that presumably, this will be fixed at some point in the near future when somethingorother gets updated, at which point, we may have a zombie page starting with a lower-case glyph, that's otherwise inaccessible. So it's probably best to just delete this now, possibly speedily, to avoid the potential future problem. A simple search will still find this, even if there's no explicit redirect in place. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 20:37, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

- Delete? I think the existence of this is a Mediawiki bug due to the brand-newness of these characters in the latest version of Unicode (i.e., you normally can't make a separate article that starts with a lower-case character). I'd suggest deleting this for now, reporting this on phab if you think it's important enough (it probably isn't), and at worst, just waiting for whatever library MW uses to figure out capitalization to get updated for this new character. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 18:10, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
Note: I notified WP:VPT of this discussion for further input, due to the technical nature of this. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 20:44, 14 October 2025 (UTC)- Keep The version of the ICU library currently used doesn't currently recognize the mapping, so we'll best serve readers by having the redirect. The important thing is to make sure the lowercase matches the uppercase. This is nothing new, when the software is updated the WMF will run scripts to clean up any conflicting titles. See Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 208#Heads-up: Update to ICU Unicode library for IIRC the last time they did it. Anomie⚔ 20:51, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

- India military national cricket team → Services cricket team (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
I'm not sure whether this is simply incorrect or whether it's conflating two searpate teams. The prose of the target article is all about a cricket team that plays domestic cricket in India (and so not a national cricket team) founded in the 1940s but the infobox indicates they played international cricket in the 1920s? I can't find any indication of a cricket team ever called "India Military". Thryduulf (talk) 16:02, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- Keep The article itself needs some cleanup, but it does appear that Services are a cricket club that represent the Indian armed forces.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Casablanca Rock (talk • contribs) 16:33, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- That is not in doubt, but they don't represent the Indian military in international competitions, so it isn't a national cricket team. Thryduulf (talk) 22:50, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
Self-trout for my not signing my comment. Does "national cricket team" imply international competition? If it is exclusively used for that I am ok with delete as well as they do not play internationally. In my mind this worked okay because they represent the military of India and India is a nation so they must be the "India military national cricket team". If I am the only person who interprets it that way though, it's probably not helpful to the reader. Casablanca 🪨(T) 12:47, 30 September 2025 (UTC)

- Jingnan campaign (redirects) → Jingnan campaign (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Unclear what purpose this serves. Seems to have been moved aside to make way for a move but perhaps not deleted due to the page history though it would seem it only consists of reverted attempts at c&p moves. Regardless would be an A10 if restored so K1 does not apply here. 204.111.137.106 (talk) 00:21, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Move without redirect to Jingnan Campaign to complete the round robin that Anthony Appleyard neglected to finish. -- Tavix (talk) 13:50, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Move per Tavix. The history of Jingnan campaign (redirects) is needed for attribution, but Jingnan CampaignJingnan Campaign has no significant history. Moving the (redirects) title over the more obviously useful one makes more sense. I wouldn't go so far as to say this was an incomplete history merge, more like Anthony decided to do it that way, but also he passed away two years ago so we can't ask him what he intended. - Move to Jingnan Campaign, which is itself already a redirect to Jingnan campaign, to complete the round robin move, per Tavix and Ivanvector. --MYCETEAE 🍄🟫—talk 18:26, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
