Not mentioned at the target. It is not a synonym but is a rare or at least rarely reported manifestation of secondary syphilis that has a variety or presentations. It is mentioned at Necklace of Venus, which is just one such presentation of LS, but that target seems to narrow. HODL

The result of the discussion was delete HODL, retarget Hodl to Hödl Ultimately, the argument that Hodl should point to the extremely similar (and very likely to be typed as such on a QWERTY keyboard) article Hödl, instead of a one-sentence mention, was favored by a strong majority of commenters, with no policy-based arguments to put against it. Those that supported this retargetting also supported deleting the all-caps version HODL as unmentioned in the target. There was some support for adding a hatnote, which I will leave to the normal editorial process. I guess I lose closer chicken, huh? Rusalkii (talk) 03:50, 17 November 2025 (UTC)

Retarget Hodl to Hödl as per Shhhnotsoloud, tag as R to diacritic. It's plausible that someone could type in Hodl while meaning for Hödl; not everyone has access to the keys that would allow someone to type an ö character. On the flipside, Delete HODL as per WP:RETURNTORED. Vgbyp may be right in that there's enough info to make a full article for this topic; in that case, we need to delete the redirect, so that someone in the future will be alerted that we don't have information on the topic, rather than pipe it to Wiktionary.   • Keep hodl. Mention is there, and was there at the time of nomination too. To be fair, the term was bundled here by Shhhnotsoloud, and not by nom. Also tag it as an {{R from merge}} as it was merged to the target, as mentioned at the second AfD. Second choice, retarget to the Hödl dab if the Bitcoin entry is added there.   • Keep as long as it has a mention, which it does at this time. And as long as the mention indicates that "Hodl is a term meaning..." and links to a source that uses "HODL" in all caps (which it does), then HODL is a fairly harmless alternate-cap redirect.   • Retarget Hodl →Hödl and delete HODL. Redirects to diacritics are quite useful for en.wiki readers. "HODL" is barely mentioned in the Bitcoin article. It would be more useful to send readers to search, where the term is mentioned in several articles. {{Wiktionary}} and {{canned search}} for hodl, HODL, etc. could be added to Hödl to help readers typing "hodl" instead of "HODL". --MYCETEAE 🍄‍🟫—talk 15:21, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Ditto Myceteae. The current target's text never mentions the all-caps variant; as long as it doesn't warrant mention in the text, it looks like an error. No objection to recreation if consensus holds that HODL should be present in the article. And the various Hödls are seemingly more long-term significant than this slang term; we can just throw a See also ==> bitcoin§Use for investment and status as an economic bubble into the Hödl disambiguation page. Retarget Hodl and delete HODL per all of the above as well as the fact that Hödl is a WP:PTOPIC with a base name, unlike "hodl", which has a one sentence mention in an article.   • Keep (or DAB) This needn't (and shouldn't) be mentioned at the target, but I can see it helping readers. It is, as noted above, a rather common mispronunciation of the target. I think it benefits the reader to keep this. There is a bit of ambiguity as there is a part of Nick Arcade that is called the Specific Ocean, as is a color for the Jackson Soloist SL4X, a Kyo Maclear title, and a track on Guerrilla (album). With that said, I do believe Pacific Oean to be the overwhelming PTOPIC; however, it is very hard to quantify given the way it exists. If not, a DAB could work as well. The primary article for a ship name is the ship index page. This cannot be created at present without knowing what year the ships were launched in. Hence my request that this confusing redirect be deleted rather than overwritten by a ship index page. The 1854 Toledo is no more notable than the Toledo sunk in 1917 or any of the other 5 Toledo's mentioned in wiki Lyndaship (talk) 19:06, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
More reputable sources cover the 1854 Toledo than any other vessel by that name. E.g. Graveyard of the Great Lakes by Mark L. It's just a prospective event that didn't happen. It's probably harmless, it's just also useless. Probably 2023 African Football League should be merged into African Football League, I don't see the utility in having separate league and season articles for a football tournament that only happened once.
