per previous rfd. still unmentioned, still haven't been able to find usable sources to warrant a mention. should probably have commented on the possibility of soft redirecting to wikt:macrophanerophyte then, but i forgot if i forgot or didn't know that was there consarn (talck) (contirbuton s) 17:24, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

  • Delete. The term is not mentioned at Tree nor at Raunkiær plant life-form#Phanerophytes (which is where PhanerophytePhanerophyte targets). Definitions vary and include tree; various height cutoffs including >30 m, >2 m; and definitions not based on size. And others, and I trust the nom has spent more time searching than I have and hasn't found a consistent or authoritative definition. The term appears to be fairly obscure. "Macrophanerophytes" gets just 354 hits on Google Scholar, compared to 10,400 for "Phanerophytes"; 2,910 for "Nanophanerophytes"; 1,150 for "Microphanerophytes"; 1,020 for "Megaphanerophytes"; and 930 for "Mesophanerophytes". Trying to cobble together a definition or explain its multiple meanings seems WP:UNDUE at any of the targets that have been considered, or anywhere on en-wiki. Sending readers somewhere without a definition is a disservice. Readers will be confused, disappointed, or misled into thinking it is exactly synonymous with the target. This does not meet the criteria for a Wiktionary redirect defined at WP:SOFTSP or Template:Wiktionary redirect. The redirect has zero incoming links from articles, thus it is not commonly wikified. It is not a popular search term, averaging 1–2 pageviews per month since 2015, with recent spikes explained by the month-long RfD listing. The word does not appear in a single Wikipedia article. —Myceteae🍄‍🟫 (talk) 18:57, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
you finding definitions that have nothing to do with a 30m cutoff point does seem to already throw a wrench into any chance this has of not being a red link, since that implies there's no consistent definition. the ones i found (and could get to load) before and now all seemed to refer to phanerophytes that were either at least 30m tall, with varying upper limits (usually 50). regardless of that, congratulations, you also seem to have been the first person across both discussions to find a mention of the term that also includes an example of a plant that meets the criteria for that definition!! consarn (talck) (contirbuton s) 19:34, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Most of the usage I found was not defined clearly—or not at all. Either used in passing or in a list of related -phanerophyte classifications where none were described. The 30 meter minimum appeared in multiple places and might well be the most common. I did find copies of Raunkiær’s original publications online but none has searchable text and I didn’t get very far with those. But even if we find his original definition—if this was even one of the classifications he coined—the fact that it is now used only rarely and with inconsistent meanings argues against inclusion. —Myceteae🍄‍🟫 (talk) 22:56, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete, the term is obscure, poorly-defined, and unused, so let's do without it. I have no particular objection to pointing it at the Wiktionary entry but it's barely necessary. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:44, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

Countryhumans is not mentioned anywhere in the article, so therefore I recommend deletion. Even despite the fact that I didn't do any research, I kind of think it's notable on its own, so in that case, return to red would apply. DiscoveringMysteries03 (talk) 12:19, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

the pre-blar content was unsourced stuff more fit for wiktionary, and also mostly wrong (i counted, out of 38 synonyms provided, only 17 were varying levels of sort of correct). as is, no such list is found in the target, and this might also be implausible as a disambiguator here. the only other page with it that i could find, which is list of minerals (synonyms), actually contains that list (but isn't a redirect, so eh) consarn (talck) (contirbuton s) 12:14, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

as a sort of aside, i don't necessarily think soft redirecting to wiktionary would work, as synonyms applicable in different contexts are torn across multiple thesaurus entries (wikt:thesaurus:infinite, wikt:thesaurus:endless, wikt:thesaurus:eternal, and so on, ad infin- uh, ad nauseam), and the title also doesn't match. this means my initial vote will be deletion, effectively by default consarn (talck) (contirbuton s) 12:20, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Not mentioned in the redirect target or anywhere else on Wikipedia and there's nowhere sensible to redirect it to. The page title was created in 2009 as the only edit ever by 11aseely about the supposed title for an upcoming album which became Nightmare. Even at the time the editor who made the page in to a redirect couldn't find any confirmation of this name and I can't either. There's a song/instrumental by the band that's sometimes known by this title but according to this Reddit thread, it appears to be a fan-created dsong title. I don't know anything about the band myself but it seems that we can safely delete this redirect. Graham87 (talk) 10:44, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

I only just noticed the redirect's bad capitalisation with my screen reader. Graham87 (talk) 11:00, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Delete. Not only is it a fan-created song title, the song in question already had a name-- it's a cover of In the house - In a heartbeat from 28 Days Later (soundtrack). And no, I'm not suggesting we retarget there-- doing so would likely be a huge WP:SURPRISE for any A7X fans that don't yet know the track's true identity, as the 28 Days Later (soundtrack) page doesn't mention A7X anywhere. MAYBE a hatnote would suffice, but I'm not liking the idea. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 11:31, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Proposing to delete because there are no interstates in Greece, and interstates are exclusive to the United States: in Greece, there are motorways (Ax), national roads (EOx) and provincial roads (EPx). This nomination rationale has been copied from WP:Redirects for discussion/Log/2026 March 21#Greece "Interstates" where interstates 70 to 91 were deleted, and WP:Redirects for discussion/Log/2026 April 7#Greece Interstate 37 where interstates 37 to 48 were deleted. Per Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2026 April 8 § Peroidic table of elements, this obstructs internal search. The result of the discussion was retarget to Ronald Read without prejudice against creating a new disambiguation page at this title. (non-admin closure) J947edits 06:19, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Not mentioned at target. * Pppery * it has begun... 01:58, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

  • Retarget to Ronnie Reed who is the only person with this name who has an article, or to the disambiguation at Ronald Read. There are a few definitely non-notable people with this name who get passing mentions (including local politicians in the UK and New Zealand), and an Iowa Hawkeyes football captain who is mentioned at List of Iowa Hawkeyes football honorees#All-conference selections for 1918. The footballer might be notable, I can't find anything on Google clearly proving that but I strongly suspect any sources are mostly going to be offline ones, and obviously cannot prove they even exist so I don't think WP:RETURNTORED applies here. I don't object to disambiguation, but I'm not sure any of the other people pass WP:DABMENTION. I'll add a see also to Ronnie Reed at the dab page, if we retarget to the article a hatnote to the dab page should be added. Thryduulf (talk) 10:46, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
    • Actually, I've just seen that Ron Reed (who didn't appear in my search results) is also a Ronald so retagetting to the existing dab page or creating a separate dab page is better. Thryduulf (talk) 10:51, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
    • According to this reference, Oscar-winning actor Gig Young had used the stage name "Ronald Reed" early in his career. However, since his use of this name appears to be rare, obscure and not even mentioned in his entry, I would not oppose Ronald Reed becoming a redirect to Ron Reed, Ronnie Reed, the Ronald Read disambiguation page or to any other target preferred by consensus. Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 21:41, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Per WP:SSRT. Not linked to anywhere from the mainspace, is not a common word, and has never been deleted and then recreated. It is also polluting WP:DUSTY. MusikAnimal talk 23:52, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

  • WP:DUSTY should be changed to ignore soft redirects like it does disambiguation pages. J947edits 00:00, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
I don't disagree, however this is non-trivial as we would need to look at the page content, which can't be queried for using SQL. Going by categories is another option, but the list to exclude would be quite long and need ongoing maintenance, and it'd likely slow down the bot as well.

Regardless of the WP:DUSTY problem, I don't think Speciousness belongs on Wikipedia. Its purpose is also contingent on the existence of the article on the sister project, which isn't guaranteed (generally speaking).

What would be more ideal I think is for MediaWiki to look for the term on sister projects and report it automatically on MediaWiki:Noarticletext. MusikAnimal talk 00:17, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Agreed. This has been raised before at Wikipedia talk:Database reports/Forgotten articles and more recently by me at Wikipedia talk:Database reports, where I hoped it would have more visibility but there has been no response after a few weeks. —Myceteae🍄‍🟫 (talk) 18:56, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was no consensus. I've added a hatnote pointing to Kubota (surname). (non-admin closure) J947edits 06:15, 22 April 2026 (UTC)

Not a plausible search term. There are numerous people with the surname Kubota who could be confused with a character hardly anyone knows about, not even the players of the game would remember him anyway. Go D. Usopp (talk) 13:35, 30 March 2026 (UTC)

Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:
  • Keep. I haven't played the game, but he's described as the main antagonist so it seems like a bizarre statement that "not even players of the game would remember him anyway". As for the other people with the surname, a hatnote to Kubota (surname) can resolve that issue. I think if someone is searching "Dr. Kubota" they'd be looking for the character over someone like Tomio Kubota, who had a Ph.D. but didn't seem to use the title? -- Tavix (talk) 15:25, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
I'm fine with retargeting directly to the surname page as well. -- Tavix (talk) 15:08, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
  • Retarget to Kubota (surname) (per nom? It's not clear from the nomination what the requested outcome is). There are several other fictional "Dr Kubota"s - see, for example Eric Pierpoint, Swing Girls, and Denji Sentai Megaranger - none of whom, along with this character, have an obvious claim to be the primary referent of the term. Weak Keep. I'm convinced by Tavix's argument. Other info: No mainspace articles link to this, so we could probably just trash it if we wanted. From the wikipedia search function I have found that there are multiple fictional characters primarily known as "Dr. Kubota" (I see Tevildo has also mentioned this). However, according to those pages, Dr. Kubota is more prominently featured in Ordyne than the others are featured in their works. Dingolover6969 (talk) 10:10, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
