I just moved because it does not seem to be the primary topic, given The Democrat (play), The Democrat (Brazil), and I wonder if the target title is right after I saw List of newspapers named The Democrat. Seeing as the latter two both direct readers to the former, I say this should uncontroversially retarget to Ancient Estonia. Besides, the § Ancient Estonia: pre-history section is basically a WP:CONTENTFORK of the Ancient Estonia article and the § Estonia prehistory section is just a summarized overview.   • Well, the section did exist before this 2 November 2024 edit by DJ Sturm, which made "some minor improvements". Breaking a section link is not a minor improvement. The DJ Sturm account has been globally locked for cross-wiki abuse. – wbm1058 (talk) 15:23, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
    You're right that it did exist previously, but the article has gone through a number of significant revisions since then, largely to expand various history sections. Apparently, that edit by DJ Strum was cited by IdrapoelIII in their December 2025 edits here, here, and here, claiming to be removing suspected LLM-generated content, but apparently doing far more than that. Their edits were nevertheless reverted due to being a suspected sock. The suspected LLM-generated content in DJ Strum's edits was flagged by Gnomingstuff, who explained their reasoning at Talk:Estonia#Possible AI generated text. Thus, the issue with DJ Strum's AI-generated additions still persists in the article without being adequately addressed. Hopefully this can bring more attention to the issue.   • Weak restore the section. The creation summary makes it clear that Mowaffak al-Rubaie was the founder of the party. We have a List of political parties in Iraq but there is no mention of a "Center Party" (or "Centre Party"). The section as it existed when the redirect was created notes "al-Wasat" as an alternative name, but that doesn't appear in the list either (that apparently just means "Centre Party" so is ambiguous with other parties of the same name). It is also not (currently, I've not looked in the history) mentioned by either name at 2010 Iraqi parliamentary election which the old section linked it to, nor on the current version of the articles about the three groups that section mentioned there was speculation it would form an alliance with. The section was reworded and de-sourced by Alibaker with this edit who then removed the entire section an hour later , with neither edit giving an explanation. Alibaker contributed only to this one article, with 23 edits (including the 2 above) over 3 hours in February 2010 and then a further 2 edits in as many minutes in December that year. The removed section was sourced, and other sources verifying this do seem to exist so my thinking is that the target section should be restored and the redirect retained. This redirect may be misleading. The Hawaiian English page should be talking about the Standard English accent of Hawaii. Should the entry Hawaiian English be about the Standard English accent spoken in Hawaii? In my opinion, yes.   • Keep. Hawaiian Pidgin is a pidgin of Hawaiian and English, so "Hawaiian English" makes sense as a name for that pidgin. That article also explains pronunciation differences as contrasted to standard American English which is as close as I can find to describing the "English accent of Hawaii". I see Hawaii#Languages exists but it doesn't explain English accents, nor can I find another place where that would be explained.     I listed this redirect for discussion because I think a non-American (or even American himself or herself) might be looking to see how is the way English is spoken in Hawaii, and when he or she is redirected to "Hawaiian Pidgin" (which is a separate language), it causes confusion. I want things to be clear. For example, there are articles about the standard English accents of Singapore, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Nigeria, Liberia, and many other countries, as well as separate articles about the Patois, Pidgins and Creoles spoken in these regions. In this case, Лв does not seem to have refered to Kyrgyz som, which was in the former disambiguation page of Лв, but there is possible ambiguity with ЛВ, which redirects to Soviet locomotive class LV. French-speaking has French language as the target, French speaker has Geographical distribution of French speakers, but French-speaking world has Francophonie.   • Comment: My first thought is to target all to Francophonie. There is a subtle distinction between French-speaking world and French-speaking countries that may justify different targets for similar redirects. The question is whether the wording most often represents a deliberate distinction or whether these term are more likely to be used interchangeably or imprecisely. I'm uncertain at this point. See: redirects to Francophonie for more related redirects. I would not bundle these or French-speaking worldFrench-speaking world, as the discussion may hinge on the specific use of countries. If any of these need discussion, I would wait until this discussion closes. Superwholock has gotten substantial coverage in academic sources. It is a fantastic candidate for a GA or maybe even an FA for any fandom editors who might want to pick it up down the line. Right now, though, we have this soft redir to Wiktionary, and as much as i love interactions and connections between sister projects, in terms of encouraging creation, this is worse than your average redirect – there is literally only a dictionary definition at the target and it doesn't show up as a redirect under any css because software-wise, it doesn't register as one. Keep. I'm not sure about WP:RETURNTORED. Keep as the redirect creator. the argument that it is worse at encouraging creation is a bit silly. regarding WP:RETURNTORED, the information on the Wiktionary page is perfectly fine for its purpose (being a dictionary entry, not an encyclopedic article). to me, these types of redirects are sensible for if a reader who may not know anything about a given subject wants to learn about it, they will at least get the basic information rather than a red brick wall.  Juwan  🕊️🌈 13:24, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
