- Keep. This is part of two series of pages: one for kickboxing (Kickboxing at the 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Kickboxing at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, etc.) and another for events at the 2021 games (Badminton at the 2021 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Taekwondo at the 2021 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, etc.), so it follows patterns that users can expect. The target article also describes the planned kickboxing events, so readers will find information about the subject there. - Eureka Lott 15:44, 29 April 2026 (UTC)

Ron Dyens
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was Resolved. This redirect was changed into a stub article. Peaceray (talk) 19:14, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
Delete Ron Dyens is only listed in the Infobox on Flow (2024 film). Dyens has produced, written, & directed other films.[1][2][3] He has articles in three different language Wikipedias: de:Ron Dyens, fr:Ron Dyens, & it:Ron Dyens. This redirect most certainly fails 10. If the redirect could plausibly be expanded into an article, and the target article contains virtually no information on the subject.
It likely fails WP:RFD#DELETE #1. This is a situation in which {{ill|Ron Dyens|de||fr||it|preserve=yes}} should be used instead of a redirect, but having the redirect causes the intended article to be a blue link & redirecting to the wrong target, instead of a red link: Ron Dyens [de; fr; it]. Peaceray (talk) 20:55, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Is something preventing you from creating the article by translating any of those articles? Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 00:07, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Tbhotch: That is a bit beside the point, isn't it? The first thing that we should be discussing is whether WP:RFD#DELETE applies to this situation. I would ask you to respond firstly to the fact that Flow (2024 film) only mentions Dyens name. It thus meets the deletion requirement that
the target article contains virtually no information on the subject
. - To respond to your question, we are both 100,000+ edit contributors. Thus you know our availability ebbs & flows. I will lack the bandwidth until after SIFF 2026. I recently created 2026 Seattle International Film Festival. Are you suggesting that I prioritize creating the Ron Dyens article over all the other red links? I would reject that because Wikipedia is a collaborative effort. I know from other film festival articles that I have worked on that other editors often take the initiative & created those formerly red-linked articles. To point a redirect to an article that only cursorily mentions a producer's name gives a false impression that something substantial exists. Other editors will fail to realize that the article needs to be created or translated. That is the purpose of {{ill}}. To leave this redirect in place is, in essence, false advertising. Peaceray (talk) 15:19, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- No, it isn't. And it is a valid question, so please answer it, otherwise I'll create the article myself to prove that this is a pointless discussion. Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 16:55, 4 May 2026 (UTC)

I'm not sure what "Free" has to do within this Marian context. There's also the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Michigan, USA, which could possibly be referred to in casual conversation as just the "Mary Free" (cf. Mater Dei Hospital is almost always just referred to as Mater Dei in my country), however I'm not a local of Grand Rapids, Michigan to confirm whether it is the short name for it. Either retarget it to the hospital or else delete. 𝔅𝔦𝔰-𝔖𝔢𝔯𝔧𝔢𝔱𝔞? 14:40, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete. This seems like random nonsense. If it did ever mean anything it is not clear what. Retargeting does not seem likely to be helpful. The Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital shows no indication that it is ever abbreviated it to "Mary Free" only to "Mary Free Bed" e.g. in its URL. --DanielRigal (talk) 16:50, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Delete There is a hymn, "When Christ was Born of Mary Free" which starts "When Christ was born of Mary free, in Bethlehem, in that fair city, Angels sung e’er with mirth and glee,". My guess is that this is based on a misunderstanding that lyric, however it doesn't seem to be a common way to refer to the hymn or anything related to it and the only relevant content we have is a single sentence passing mention at the end of Gerrit Smith (composer)#Life and career. Per WP:RLOTE, this should be deleted as there doesn't seem to be any special affinity between Thecla, a 1st-century Christian in the Middle East, and the French language. 𝔅𝔦𝔰-𝔖𝔢𝔯𝔧𝔢𝔱𝔞? 13:57, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Is it possible this is merely the French name, and there will be people who don't know the name of the article? I don't know a lot about saints or their names, but I know that languages historically don't keep most names that consistent. By the way, for some reason I was notified on my talk page about this redirect; not sure why that occurred, so forgive me if my input is so obvious. I would think that a person who knows about saints would be the right person to give their opinion. I know there is a town with a similar name to this saint (the redirect's title), so if someone is wondering what saint the town is named for, this might be helpful. --SidP (talk) 15:10, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @SidP, you were notified because you were the one who created the redirect and it is part of the RfD procedure to notify the redirect's creator.
- Does the town you mention have a Wikipedia article? The redirect could very easily be retargeted there, should consensus decide so, just like Saint-Jérôme not long ago.
- Otherwise, the redirect would normally be deleted per WP:RLOTE, which states that overall, redirects in foreign languages shouldn't be kept unless they have affinity (i.e. something relevant to do with) the target article. Cheers, 𝔅𝔦𝔰-𝔖𝔢𝔯𝔧𝔢𝔱𝔞? 15:29, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I've seen that the town article does have a very similar name, Sainte-Thècle. However, I would think that since the article may not address the person, this is a more accurate redirect, and perhaps in the town's article, there should be a link (without redirect) to the actual saint. Or is this not standard methodology for WP? I merely add redirects when, after typing what I want to search and finally finding it (usually, hopefully, most of the time), I then add what search term I thought would lead me to the article in the first place. Thanks for helping inform me. --SidP (talk) 16:20, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Retarget to Sainte-Thècle, seems more likely that someone searching the French spelling "Saint Thècle" in the english wikipedia would be looking for this town. nahle.ghini (talk) 20:03, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

- Comment. On 17 June 2025, this title was an article. Later that day it was merged into Iran–Israel War, which subsequently moved to Iran–Israel war, which appears to have subsequently been page-mover swapped to some other title. In any event the content that was once housed under this title appears to have migrated to the proposed target. Indeed, there are some 11 redirects to section "Operation Rising Lion" so why not make it a dozen. 29 of 43 redirects to that list of attacks are section links which bypass the context provided by the list's lead section, so I'm copying the relevant lead information to the relevant sections, so that readers jumping to sections are provided with section leads giving them context for each section. – wbm1058 (talk) 16:01, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

Upon searching this term, this brought up results that included clothing, toolboxes, cabinets, and the body part itself, but nothing related to laptops or computers, specifically. As the term is not mentioned in the article, it could come off as a surprise to readers. I'm thinking that the redirect could be:
- 1: Deleted.
- 2: Retargeted to Sternum#Manubrium, which is referred to as the top of the chest.
- 3: Retargeted to Top (clothing), which includes a list of clothing that covers the chest.
