There's a possibility that Lazyapes could be a sockpuppet of Elizzzzz (talk · contribs), who was previously blocked for undisclosed paid editing. Elizzzzz and one of their associated socks, CharlesBNB, were both blocked on April 14 by Firefly. Remarkably, Lazyapes was registered just four days later, on April 18. Furthermore, the anonymous user who recreated the draft for Rami Cassis also created two additional drafts, one of which was draft:Bed Kingdom, previously authored by CharlesBNB (talk · contribs). As per off-wiki, this appears to be the same individual. One of their sockpuppets, user MorphenZed, was previously engaged to create the article on Château du Puy. Recently, the same freelancer was hired to write about J.J. Colagrande and Blykalla. Both articles were authored by the user GrooveLab. All these WP:SPAs have edited a relatively obscure topic, Daniel Scott Johnson.

Most recent paid editor, User:MondyBDanl, has accepted that they were compensated for uploading his photo but denies connection with the IP editor (37.111.168.245) who recently added promo content (see Talk:Daniel Scott Johnson). I'm confident there is a connection and User:MondyBDanl is part of a wider sockfarm, very likely part of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Elizzzzz. Gheus (talk) 17:04, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

User:Benitethl behavior is also like of User:Elizzz socks; use of Newcomertasks to become autoconfirmed and then dump a perfect corporate spam, Chowly. Need further checks. It's good that User:Gheus is trying to prevent abusive editing and sockpuppetry on Wikipedia, however I consider their accusing me of being a SockPuppet Account, being engaged in COI and UPE editing without reasonable evidence a personal attack. Just because I created a draft for a famous person (keeping in mind all wiki policies and guidelines) doesn't make me connected to the subject and/or the accounts that created it before. I have stated earlier that I am a follower of James just as I am a follower of Zara McDermott . I feel like being targeted at this point. Anyways, to state for the record, I am not connected to any of the above editors. Additionally, I have no financial gains in creating any article, nor have I ever edited for pay. I am mainly reporting these IPs to alert admins of G5 candidates Draft:Alexander Astridge (skier), Nahmad Collection, and JAMNOLA (museum) (which is a bit older than the previous two); please let me know if I should just directly tag the pages as G5.

These IPs were working on the same drafts, one of which is a recreation of a deleted article; they are mostly in a similar range as the previously blocked IP. One of them worked on Simon Townsley which was recently deleted.

Note that Alexander Astridge was deleted as G5, and Draft:Alexander Astridge was created a month ago). Helpful Raccoon (talk) 02:00, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

  • Similar usernames, like compare User:Pogačarnatan with User:Tukšumi (both are using alphabets with a little hook). Or compare User:Droz Ylos with User:Dani Visk, User:DemisRuv: 8 total alphabets, 3 vowels / 5 consonants (probably generated the name using a program). Private evidence sent to WP:COIVRT, ticket:2025082710004643.
  • User:Cyfervil is following classic Elizzzzz pattern, edit random articles to become autoconfirmed and then publish a perfectly coded company article.
  • User:HelenBWood recreated Draft:Robert M. Gordon (psychologist), previously created by User:Reefaneel. User:Derbystewn, now blocked, also edited this draft. Gheus (talk) 04:04, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

New account (3 wks), almost certainly UPE – their userpage is basically alternative wording for The lady doth protest too much, methinks – who just recreated Draft:Taiba Al Humaidhi, speedied three months ago as a creation of a sock from the Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Macdonald5122 stable. So I figure, this is another one of that lot.

Except that, their first edits were actually to take over an existing draft, Draft:Kilde (company), which was created by a sock from the Elizzzzz drawer... and later edited by another from the Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Loewstisch one. So now I've got three possibilities. I'm filing this under Elizzzzz, because they created the Kilde draft, which Banker headed to straight away.

Of course, they could be just a new gun-for-hire with nothing to do with any of the earlier ones. Hoping that CU could shed some light on this? DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:32, 16 September 2025 (UTC)

  • @Asilvering: This check is very easily becoming futile. A lot of accounts are stale, making it hard to really narrow down the cross-section of it. Beyond that, I don't at all trust the data I'm seeing for Banker.sg - but I can't prove anything about it either. Suspected sockpuppets

The following patterns across these accounts strongly suggest a single operator or highly coordinated group engaging in promotional editing

Both Stubexpander and Albicanto created blank userpages without providing personal details.

All four accounts (Stubexpander, Albicanto, Igorsachs, and Privice) follow a distinct Build-Publish-Blank workflow. They draft articles in 20-30 incremental edits within their personal sandboxes, move the content to the mainspace, and immediately blank the sandbox to obscure the drafting history.

These users rarely provide edit summaries while drafting in the sandbox, When they do, the summaries are minimal

Stubexpander, Albicanto, Igorsachs, Privice

    • Stubexpander drafted the content for Modar Alaoui in their sandbox; after updating the page they blanked the sandbox
    • Albicanto prepared content for Surf Air in their sandbox, after updating the live page , they blanked the sandbox
    • Similarly Privice drafted content for Rizwan Aftab Ahmed (an article created by Stubexpander and defended at AfD by Albicanto), in their sandbox and after updating the live page they also blanked the sandbox

Privice updated the page Omar Ahmed (businessman) which was originally created by Igorsachs using the same Build-Publish-Blank pattern.

Privice also created the promotional article Draft:Nutripure and the article Audilab, which was moved to draft by HJ Mitchell for UPE.

After creating pages from the sandbox, all accounts follow the habit of creating the article Talk page as the final step ,

Similar to Igorsachs (Moamen Mohamed, Omar Ahmed (businessman)), Albicanto shows interest in Egyptioan and pakistani BLPs and related Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rizwan Aftab Ahmed discussions.

Igorsachs and Albicanto created articles and using near-identical methods and edit summaries.

All accounts exhibit sleeper tendencies, remaining inactive for months or years between UPE assignments. Albicanto's sudden return to participate in AfDs is particularly suspicious, specifically their "Keep" vote for Rizwan Aftab Ahmed (created by their sock) and Zeal Group (linked to UPEs Nick ander and Zoe Aria)

Igorsachs also created Samieh (Sam) Rizk under a different title. ~2026-19230-24 (talk) 09:15, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

  • Closing without action — I think there's a good chance everyone here is doing UPE, but I'm not convinced on behaviour that there's any connection between them, or a connection between these accounts and Elizzzzz. The behavioural similarities described in the report aren't particularly distinctive, and the overlap could easily be the result of multiple freelancers picking up the same job. None of them have edited in the last three months, and I don't think the evidence is sufficient to request any blocks for sockpuppetry or UPE at this time.   • CheckUser requested and endorsed by clerk – Pretty certain this is UPE. Compare their Xelon and the deleted Draft:Xelon AG by spam-blocked Vet physician (talk · contribs). There's also overlap with the UPE-blocked PulchritudoSu SterilitasSu (talk · contribs) at Death of Monic Karungi, but that seems more likely to be coincidence.     I'll add that a CU might also want to take a look at Silpharen (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki · SI). It would be an extremely odd coincidence for them to create a redirect about an unrelated person by the same name while UPEs were attempting to create an article about this Obadiah Baker. Silpharen's behaviour is a near-perfect match for Arelthion (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki · SI) and various other COIVRT-blocked accounts - see the identical first edits, matching edit summaries (added stars, added time duration, added cinematographer etc.) and then creation of a redirect to later be expanded into an article by a TA. To the best of my knowledge we don't have an existing SPI for them, but I've made a couple of COIVRT reports about some other accounts with matching behaviour. MCE89 (talk) 06:21, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
    On second thoughts, ignore me for now - I've found a few dozen more accounts that are a behavioural match for Silpharen already and it's going to require some case merges.   • This account seems Red X Unrelated to Elizzzzz historicals. I can't tie them to anyone else but I would be very surprised if they aren't Vet physician. As for the other overlaps, I think we're just looking at a spam mess really; it's not unheard of for unrelated UPEs to overlap.
