{{Infobox Australian road}} is unnecessary and should de deprecated. We should instead use {{infobox road}} and other related templates. • Oppose after a quick read of the documentation pages for {{Infobox Australian road}} and {{Infobox road}} it seems as though {{Infobox road}} would not be able to fully and easily replace {{Infobox Australian road}} as the latter has unique parameters.– MrAussieGuy (Talk) 11:48, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Oppose. As @Innesw suggested, I believe this is a template suited to Australia's unique conditions. Something that the standard road infobox doesn't seem to support is multiple alternate names for a stretch of road, something that is extraordinarily common in Australia. And also, something that from personal experience, is used and understood quite commonly in regular conversion. That's just as a specific example. CainNKalos (talk) 12:22, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

Request for clarification: Despite the name, templates whose names follow this convention exist for non-country entities. See the list of templates for administrative regions of France at Template:Country data France#Regions of France, for example.
