Template:TFNSW lines

The result of the discussion was merge to Template:TFNSW lines. (non-admin closure) Techie3 (talk) 12:12, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
- Template:TFNSW lines (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:TFNSW icon (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Propose merging Template:TFNSW lines with Template:TFNSW icon.
I propose that these two templates be merged as they have similar functionality and for ease of use, one name should be used to transclude both the general roundels in addition to the line icons. The icon template should be merged into this one as this has more icons available, increasing the usefulness of this template for general use. Per point one of WP:TFD#REASONS, a redundant template should not be kept. Qwerty123M (talk) 08:47, 26 August 2026 (UTC)
- merge, also seems like there is overlap with Template:rail-interchange. Frietjes (talk) 15:04, 26 August 2026 (UTC)
- That is a great idea to also merge this template, because we don't need redundant, duplicated templates. I would have nominated this template for merging had I known about it but I hope that consensus can be in favour of merging this one too. Qwerty123M (talk) 01:48, 2 September 2026 (UTC)
- merge absolutely would be in favour of this too for stated reasons, good to neaten things (and get rid of the obnoxious banner) Kyethepie21 (talk) 13:49, 2 September 2026 (UTC)

- Merge Template:TFNSW icon into Template:TFNSW lines, agree that a single template makes sense here. Choucas 🐦⬛ 17:30, 27 August 2026 (UTC)
- merge, seems self explanatory, its nice to keep things neat, and it will easier for future use Kyethepie21 (talk) 06:50, 28 August 2026 (UTC)
- Merge per nom. Useddenim (talk) 15:28, 28 August 2026 (UTC)
- Merge Template:TFNSW lines with Template:TFNSW icon. In agreement with the reasoning.

Template:Image(s) Warning
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more templates or modules. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the template's talk page or in a deletion review).
The result of the discussion was soft delete. Based on no significant discussion, this uncontroversial nomination is treated as a soft deletion. Editors can request the template's undeletion for any reason. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 22:56, 5 September 2026 (UTC)
- Template:Image(s) Warning (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Newly created "warning" template, unilaterally created by a single user to tag a single page without any evidence of having established a consensus that it was needed. For an example of why this kind of thing requires actual discussion first, it transcluded multiple redlinked maintenance categories that do not exist to have articles transcluded into them, which violates WP:REDNOT -- but precisely because new processes require regular editor work to maintain, there has to be a collective editorial will to actually create and maintain those queues, and a single editor's desire to force new maintenance work onto everybody's shoulders arbitrarily is unacceptable.
Additionally, the language here is tendentiously WP:POV, suggesting that some of the images are "inappropriate" when that may not be the case.
Again, this kind of thing should not be created without discussion to establish a consensus that it's needed, and is not the kind of thing that one individual editor (especially one whose account is barely six weeks old) should be creating unilaterally. Bearcat (talk) 03:16, 26 August 2026 (UTC)
- Comment @Bearcat while I do not think this template is appropriate, I am wondering why you thought it preferable to nominate the template at TfD immediately instead of starting with a talk page message to its creator? You (correctly) explain in detail how this banner is contrary to many of our guidelines, yet you yourself highlight that the user who created it is new, don't you think WP:BITE somewhat applies here?
