• Keep I see plenty of situations where edit protection would be overkill and this edit notice would be a good halfway between protection and none at all. Edit protection is a double-edged sword that can hurt article quality if overused as it may end up discouraging contributions that would have been desirable from non-regular wikipedians. Moreover, regarding the comment that pages with this notice aren't being vandalized... well, isn't that kind of the point? I see the lack of vandalism as indication that this template was adequate in stopping those pages from continual vandalism (which surely happened at some time in the past); it's doing its job without the cons of protection.

• Delete I don't see a need for this as vandals acting in bad faith will vandalize the page anyway. There is a default edit notice and it's pretty clear that yes, you are editing Wikipedia right now. Vandalism isn't a huge issue anyway and placing this template on select articles just seems...useless. I doubt that this template has caused a decrease in vandalism, since as I said vandalism is by definition in bad faith. HurricaneZeta^C 17:02, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

• Keep A lot of maintenance templates like this may appear unused because their presence on an article calls for editors to perform the requested maintenance, which, upon completion, would cause the template to be removed. Generally, whenever pruned is used, it's only present for a few hours after an AfD while an article is being rewritten. As it says at the top of the page in Category:Pages with pruned editnotice, it's normal for the category to be empty most of the time.

Yeah looking at a few of the old versions, it seems this template was redesigned several times over the 15+ years since it was created. My impression is that over the years those redesigns gradually evolved it into something that is quite different from its original form/purpose, perhaps causing it to lose its purpose. —CodeHydro 04:52, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

• Keep: I don't see anything mentioned that couldn't be resolved with an unremarkable amount of effort. Yes, there's room for improvement, but it is still useful and leaving it in place gives the next person motivated to work on it something to start with and an idea on where to take it. I just found myself in the middle of doing that with Template:Hosiery, which was in a very similar condition as of a few days ago. I can promise you it's never something I would've undertaken sua sponte, but after visiting a page that transcluded it and using it to move around, the path to improvement was clear and it seemed like a welcome break from my current Wikidata project of much larger scope. The only things we should ever be deleting are things of embarrassingly low quality or outright lies, and this template is neither of those; everything else is just waiting for the next random shepherd to come along and move it closer to excellence. — ℛogueScholar  ^₨🗩 13:04, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

  When check the transclusions above, no main page transcluded this template. The similar cases {{MES-E(2)}} and {{AHN-AH}} are also subst-only template, in this case, both templates use {{Jct}} to show the route name and link, I would type {{Jct|country=MYS|E2|2|AH|2}} directly instead of type two templates. If other languages, there still use MES-E(2) and AHN-AH instead of subst-only.

  I am currently more focus on Malaysian highway topic, so I know the Malaysian highway templates' usage.

Delete all. I'd argue that entire set at Category:Autobahn infobox templates can be deleted. This set of templates are used on around 10 articles and use an outdated system. Previous recent deletions at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2025_November_24#Template:Bundesstraße_nn and Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2025_December_8#Template:B-Bahn already removed a large amount from pages and I think it's time for the entire set to go. Any German road that wants a junction list should use the system en.wiki uses and not an outdated import from de.wiki. Gonnym (talk) 17:14, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

I created an task force page Wikipedia:WikiProject Highways/Europe/Germany road articles cleanup for cleaning up the Germany road articles as per MOS:RJL. After all articles need to clean up are listed, will TfD all templates in Category:Autobahn infobox templates. DiaoBaoHuaJian (talk) 08:01, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

Please see the examples at MOS:RJL. They use templates, not manually substed code, to keep articles consistent. Please explain what templates will replace each of the above templates and the rest of the templates at Category:Autobahn infobox templates. The nominating editor has been disruptively substing many of these templates prior to taking them to TFD as unused. Doing the work out of order defeats the purpose of having templates for consistency. The editor's substing should be reverted, and this process should start over in the right order. – Jonesey95 (talk) 01:51, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
