Template:IPadOS
- Template:IPadOS (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Template is redundant copy of the Template:iOS template limited to iPadOS. Additionally, the omission of iPadOS from the iOS template wouldn't make much sense given the other iOS based OSes are covered there too. YannickFran (talk) 20:34, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- I'd further like to note that I performed this revert on the iOS template under the assumption that the previous editor made a mistake and/or possible vandalism as the template was left in a semi-broken state, and was unaware of the creation of this new template. Still, given the context and scope of that template, I feel like this is the state it should remain in for now. YannickFran (talk) 20:37, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- Also also, given the fact that the split seems to focus on iPads and as a result replaced the iOS template on all iPad pages, this now means that the iOS template is missing from pages about iPads that did also run iOS, or even exclusively iOS. Therefor the iOS template should be added to those pages as well, further making clear the redundancy of splitting them up in the first place. YannickFran (talk) 20:41, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- Redirect to Template:iOS: Per non, as it's already mentioned, I don't think this template can expand any further. Cosmic-840≈ ● ✒️ 00:16, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
- Delete. Template:iOS has sufficient detail about iPads and iPadOS, the operating systems are not substantially different. Qwerty123M (talk) 04:52, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
- Redirect to Template:IOS, fully redundant with a more complete navbox that it would not make sense to split. Choucas 🐦⬛ 21:47, 14 October 2026 (UTC)

Template:Col-5
- Template:Col-5 (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
per this discussion and this discussion, the "col-5" template is rarely used and can be replaced by "col-break" or other column templates. large numbers of non-wrapping columns is bad on narrow screens. Frietjes (talk) 17:02, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- Comment if Col-10 to Col-7 were gotten rid of in one discussion, Col-6 in another, and now we are talking about Col-5, does it not make sense to consider the fate of Template:Col-4, Template:Col-3 and Template:Col-2 since we're here? Because unless I am missing something the arguments are the same, along the lines of Template:Col-break just does it better. I must note however that Template:Col-2 is used on a colossal amount of pages, several orders of magnitude more than the other ones, so that might factor in what to do here. Choucas 🐦⬛ 21:43, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
- yes, the rationale here is (a) rarely used and (b) large numbers of non-wrapping columns. personally, I think most non-wrapping column templates are going to be bad for narrow screens, and recently had that discussion, which continues here and has been at least partially addressed in the css for mobile. Template:Current event AFD
- Template:Current event AFD (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Just useless bloat that repeats other templates. The link to the deletion discussion is useless because there is already an AfD banner on the article (those are re-added back automatically even if they're removed). "Standalone Wikipedia articles are only created for notable events that generate sustained coverage in reliable sources; less notable events might be mentioned in other articles", yeah that's why it's being discussed. There's nothing the reader can do to fix this. "The article may continue to experience rapid updates and corrections, and may need improved citations", then add {{current event}} or {{mcn}}, so it will categorised in the appropriate maintenance cats. There's nothing that this template adds. At most, it's even more confusing: why is this banner telling me to improve citations if its deletion is being discussed? FaviFake (talk) 13:37, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- Delete. I cannot see why an editor would not wait for an article about a current event to finish updating before they would consider deleting it, if there is a current event template there is very likely a heightened degree of notability. Has this template ever been used? Qwerty123M (talk) 04:58, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
- Qwerty123M It's even worse! This template, based on how it is worded, would only make sense during the AfD nomination, which means that, for some reason, we would have two different templates pointing people to the AfD discussion. FaviFake (talk) 16:45, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
- Delete I understand the intention behind this template, but I agree that it serves us less well than having the standard AfD tag accompanied by the standard Current event tag, and therefore it just duplicates other tags. Choucas 🐦⬛ 21:34, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
Template:Government of Richmond, Virginia
This is a large template that would be better served in (an updated) list format on Government of Richmond, Virginia. Of the few links on this template, many (GRTC, school board) do not have an entirely subordinate relationship to city government, so the reasons behind their inclusion are unclear. JuxtaposedJacob (talk) | :) | he/him | 08:52, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- Delete. A close inspection will show that this extremely padded navbox looks big, but actually contains links to only five or six individual articles. There is absolutely no need for a navbox here, as these pages will already naturally link to each other appropriately in any case. Choucas 🐦⬛ 21:53, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
Template:Bangladesh squad 2026 FIFA Asian Cup and sibling templates
- Template:Bangladesh squad 2026 FIFA Asian Cup (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:Indonesia squad 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:Malaysia squad 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:Singapore squad 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:Vietnam squad 2026 FIFA Asian Cup (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Through all these discussions in the past (see: consensus on WP:FOOTY and per the outcomes of previous TfD discussions (example here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here), there was a consensus that the international squad template should only be created for World Cup, Confederations Cup, Olympics and each continent's top level competition (Asian Cup, Euro, Copa America, AFCON, Gold Cup, OFC Nations Cup). FIFA ASEAN Cup is a regional tournament under FIFA branding, not a continental or world level tournament so all these templates should not remain. – Lâm (talk) 06:08, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
- Delete I see no issue with going with WP:FOOTY's consensus here, if anything we could have even less of those in higher level competitions in my opinion, but that is out of scope here. Choucas 🐦⬛ 20:58, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
