Coasting into announcement season
With the Northern Hemisphere in full summer swing, parks have been announcing new rides left and right. Between ride announcements, rethemes, openings, and closures, all documented in the "Industry News" section, members have been working non-stop to create and update pages.
Recently, members including LuxembourgFan42, CharlieRidesRollerCoasters, Plighting Engineerd, Jpp858, and Blubewwy have been pitching in to create and expand the Werewolf Gorge and Eagle's Pursuit articles, and many more have helped with the various rides rethemed, opened, or announced to be closed in the last quarter.
As of the publication of this newsletter, pages for Rip Roarin' Falls at Carowinds and Supersonic 1887 at Nigloland are yet to be created, so help with them would be greatly appreciated.
Operation B&M: Rescuing other-language B&M articles

In early April, Nathanc2127 led an initiative to improve the quality of B&M-related articles for Operation B&M, focusing on their coasters outside of the United States.
Sources were found for Diving Machine G5 and Dive Coaster (Chimelong Paradise) in order to establish notability and expand the articles, focusing on sources of the countries' languages (which is more difficult than finding sources in English sources on the English-language section of the internet).
Further help would be greatly appreciated!
Screening articles for notability
As GoneIn60 has previously mentioned, our focus should be on screening articles for notability before devoting time to working on them.
This involves checking articles against Wikipedia's general notability guideline and searching for the existence of reliable sources significantly covering the topic of the article.
More resources to help with this are being created, but for now, reach out on the WikiProject Amusement Parks talk page!

Good articles, good article nominations, did you know hooks, and more
Current collaboration

The current collaboration is Operation B&M, working to improve the articles for roller coasters manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard!
Recently, Raging Bull (roller coaster) and Fury 325 were promoted to good article status, bringing the total good articles to just under 50% of all B&M coaster articles. With just one more good B&M article, half of B&M articles can be good articles!
Featured content
- In the last quarter, List of Six Flags Great America attractions was created and nominated for the "did you know" section by Feather Better, being displayed on the main page on May 29, the park's 50th anniversary!
- Additionally, 2023 Jetline roller coaster accident has been promoted to good article status due to the hard work of AllegedlyAPhotographer. Plus, they submitted a "did you know" hook for the article, shown on the main page on June 16! Great work!

Coaster rethemings and openings

In the last quarter, various roller coasters have opened or re-opened, and our editors have stayed on top of it all.
Various coaster rethemes have occurred our been announced, often coinciding with a refurbishment. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith has been rethemed to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, while Verbolten has been rethemed to Verbolten: Forbidden Turn. These rethemes have included new names, effects, music and set pieces. Furthermore, Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland is being rethemed to DareDeviler, involving new paint and queue theming, though it has not yet reopened.
Additionally, Quantum Accelerator has opened at Six Flags New England and Drakon has opened at Paultons Park.

New thrill rides announced
Exciting new thrill rides will be opening in 2027! Our editors have been busy creating and updating articles relating to these new additions. Two Vekoma family launch coasters will be opening next year – Werewolf Gorge at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Eagle's Pursuit at Waldameer. Thanks to all the editors who have worked on those articles.
The Rip Roarin' Falls log flume was announced for Carowinds, and Supersonic 1887, a Mack Rides Stryker Coaster, was announced for Nigloland. These rides do not yet have articles – assistance in their creation would be greatly appreciated!
As has been recently announced, in 2028, Walibi Belgium will open their Rocky Mountain Construction conversion of the Loup Garou wooden roller coaster. Information is being slowly revealed, and once enough reliable sources cover the attraction, a page for it may be created.
