The January 2026 edition of the contest department's article writing-and-improvement contest saw A.Cython take the top spot with 11 articles, 2 brought to GA class, for 56 points. A.Cython received the WikiChevrons. Hog Farm finished second with 4 articles, 2 brought to GA class, 1 brought to A class and 1 brought to FA, class for 30 points. Hog Farm received the Writers Barnstar.
Other entries were by Djmaschek with 3 articles for 16 points, simongraham with 1 article for 6 points, Sturmvogel_66 with 3 articles for 15 points and Zawed with 4 articles for 21 points.
Monthly totals are applied to the overall 2026 Writers Cup, which will be decided after the close of the December contest.
The February edition of the contest is now open. Please consider submitting your current article projects as entries into this friendly competition.
