The regular article news section includes three new featured articles, four featured pictures (including an incredibly famous image from the Vietnam War), and a new A-class article.
Hawkeye7 has contributed two reviews for this month's book review section. They cover a work on a Roman pandemic and a work on code security during World War II. Hawkeye has also contributed the regular summary of this month in military history.

Contest department |
The May 2025 edition of the contest department's article writing-and-improvement contest saw Sturmvogel 66 take the top spot with 52 points from 12 articles. He claims the Wikichevrons as his prize. Gog the Mild finished second with 43 points from 5 articles, 1 brought to FA class and 2 brought to GA class. He was awarded the Writer's Barnstar.
Other entries in May were submitted by Djmaschek, Hog Farm, simongraham, Tylermack999 and Zawed. Monthly totals are applied to the overall 2025 Writers Cup, which will be decided at the end of the year.
The June edition of the contest is now open. Please consider submitting your current article projects as entries into this friendly competition.
