Layouts

• There is a need for standardisation of same kind of articles; i.e. City articles have many different layouts, Biographies, Geographic places, cuisine related, music related also.
• We must have a definite layout for Provinces, another one for cities, another one for mountains, another one for ministries and so on.

{{WPTR}} tagging

Tagging the talk pages of articles with {{WPTR}} puts them in project scope and identifies them via various categories to the project.

• New articles - New articles that may be relevant to WikiProject Turkey should be reviewed daily and any new articles that are in project scope should be tagged.
  • Data - Wikipedia:WikiProject Turkey/New article announcements, updated by bot.
  • Frequency - Daily
  • Taskforce
  • Task - Tag in-scope articles with {{WPTR|class=|importance=}}
  • Result - Tagged articles appear in Category:Unassessed Turkey articles and Category:Unknown-importance Turkey articles and are kept track of by the project.
  • Can be automated? - NO Collection of raw data is automated, but a human is needed to select which of these is in project scope.

• Turkey-stubs - These are articles tagged on the main page as a stub article related to Turkey. These should be brought into project scope.
  • Data - Category:Turkey stubs
  • Frequency - Quarterly
  • Taskforce
  • Task - All the articles in this category should have {{WPTR|class=Stub|importance=}}
    • Compare members of Category:Turkey stubs with Category:Stub-Class Turkey articles. For those articles in Category:Turkey stubs, but not in Category:Stub-Class Turkey articles:
      • No talk page: create talk page with {{WPTR|class=Stub|importance=}}
      • Talk page, without {{WPTR}} and no {{talkheader}}: prepend talk page with {{WPTR|class=Stub|importance=}}
      • Talk page, without {{WPTR}} but with {{talkheader}}: insert {{WPTR|class=Stub|importance=}} after {{talkheader}}
      • Talk page, with {{WPTR}}, but with no class assigned (present in Category:Unassessed Turkey articles): update {{WPTR}} with {{WPTR|class=Stub}}
      • Talk page, with {{WPTR}}, not present in Category:Unassessed Turkey articles: examine article to see whether it is of stub quality. If so, re-rate to {{WPTR|class=Stub}} If not, remove stub tag from main page.
  • Result - Turkey-stubs ranked as Stub-Class within WPTR, stubs that have progressed have stub-tags removed, Stub-Class articles wrongly classified as something else re-ranked to Stub-Class.
  • Can be automated - YES All tasks aside from re-ranking either to Stub-Class or having main article stub tag removed can be automated.

Geographic places

Talk:Turkish_War_of_Independence#Civilian_casualties

Hi everybody,

could someone take a look at this little problem here? The thing is that some statistics about Muslim/Turkish(?) casualties are wrongly cited from sources, but now two editors are simply removing the category of Muslim casualties altogether, leaving only Greek and Armenian figures. I am not sure, but I feel this might even be done on purpose, the editors do not engage in discussion, so some help would be appreciated. Draft:MOPAK

I managed to get a reprieve for this Turkish article into draftspace about a Turkish paper pulp company called MOPAK; however, I could not find enough RS to save it properly (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MOPAK). There is very little on it in English websites. I was wondering if there are any Turkish editors who could take a look at it in draftspace and see if they can find some Turkish references that would help it meet WP:GNG? Otherwise, it will get deleted in draftspace. Or perhaps, Turkish editors might not consider it worth saving? Britishfinance (talk) 09:15, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
