Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ancient Egypt/to do

Why does this include personal reflections and such. It's really not in normal format... AnonMoos (talk) 16:32, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

Back in the Stone Age of Wikipedia, there was a discussion about a To Do list, & I threw out several ideas in an informal manner. Someone cut-n-pasted my words, unchanged, into this page. And there's not been much updating of this To Do list since, er, 2005. -- llywrch (talk) 23:15, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

Update

Hey, I’m thinking of trying to update this a little, but I’m not super familiar with the current state of things so I wanted to see what the general consensus is. It looks like every pyramid on the List of Egyptian pyramids save one unnamed pyramid has an article. Some nomes on the List of nomes have articles but most don’t, so that could still be an area of attention if they meet notability standards. Are most history articles still in dire need of attention? What I’ve come across so far has seemed in pretty good condition. In relation, is chronology still a big area that needs addressing? It’d be nice to have somewhere that states the standard format for dates and dynasties; I remember seeing a few of the early dynasties labeled in roman numerals and did NOT like it but that was before I decided to become an editor and I don’t know what the standard is. Stub sorting and data sorting seem like ongoing tasks, which I think lands them a place on the to-do, but I don’t know if they’re very important. I thought it would probably be good to use a template proper, so I’d probably use Template:Tasks. Thoughts?

Edit: I see this is a different template and that the tasks page would be a different thing. I’m looking for input on both, but this ToDo is first up. LavenderPress (talk) 02:25, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
