Traumatic Livelihood
I really, really don't want to sound ungrateful or mean when I say this, but the copyediting by Mox Eden (on 14-15 December) on TLH didn't really do what I requested? I appreciate Eden's typo and consistent MOS fixes but I was mainly looking for help with rephrasing things and rewriting them, which the CE didn't do.
On this basis, am I allowed to renominate the article at GOCE? I really want/need(?) to get this right because of its subject matter and it genuinely has kept me up at night worrying about it (autistic paranoia lol). If no, I can try and try again at redoing things but I've been trying for months and I don't want to become jaded with the album because of the frustration with the article I guess. // Chchcheckit (talk) 10:22, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- Copyediting is neither rephrasing nor rewriting; when we do that, it's a courtesy to the requester. We can't stop you from a re-request, but I for one wouldn't touch it; IMO, your expectations are unrealistic. Miniapolis 15:00, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- I understand courtesy, I do not intend to disregard the efforts; coming to GOCE is the last thing I want to do when writing articles, as I: 1. prefer to solve things myself and 2. to avoid this exact scenario from happening. I assumed that clarifying what I wanted to be fixed in a GOCE request would have an effect on the end result of said request, i.e. that those who are actually willing to take it on do so when they want to. I would much rather wait 4/5/6 months to get a CE that (mostly) targets the areas I asked to be addressed, that wait one month for a CE that doesn't.
- Again: I mean no disrespect to the copyeditor. If I've fundamentally misunderstood something about the nature of GOCE/R, explain. // Chchcheckit (talk) 17:58, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- If all else fails/I'm fundamentally wrong, I won't press the issue further/get over myself/GA nominate it and hope I don't get lulled into a false sense of security about the writing quality following a GOCE... again (launchballer i still owe you one) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ // Chchcheckit (talk) 18:07, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- Having briefly looked through the article and Eden's copy-edit, I think the language style is concise, clear and waffle-free. Eden fixed obvious typos and made other minor fixes, and there doesn't seem to have been much else to do there. Chchcheckit, we don't generally rephrase or rewrite text where it's not necessary; that would be make work. I think you should accept the minimal c/e as a compliment; you've done a lot of good work to improve the article. Cheers, 🅑🅐🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅰🅱 19:55, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- aok. sorry for the hassle then // Chchcheckit (talk) 20:13, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- i regret how i handled things here: it says a lot about how afraid i am of failure, even though that's how i learn things and do better. sorry mox. // Chchcheckit (talk) 13:20, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

The article needs a fairly large CE to become readable in one sitting as most of it is an unending wall of text. Some effort was put into writing and adding decent refs etc. but it is a headache to get through.Packerfan386beer here 10:21, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
Working Admittedly this isn't my usual subject area, so I've asked WikiProject Television for advice on which parts to trim. Rosaece ♡ talk ♡ contribs 17:38, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
Partly done I'm so sorry, but some personal issues have prevented me from giving as much attention to this article as I would like. Besides, I think this article might be better off in the hands of someone more knowledgeable on the subject. I have copyedited up to the end of the independence section if anyone would like to continue. Rosaece ♡ talk ♡ contribs 21:54, 5 November 2025 (UTC)

Comment: Since Baffle's enthusiasm may have flagged, I have been taking a look and have edited through History, which has probably already been gone through. "News department history" seems to be the section most amenable to off-loading excessive detail via Baffle's estimable use of extended footnotes, although I haven't examined it closely. I don't want to preclude anyone else's involvement, though. Dhtwiki (talk) 23:49, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks @Dhtwiki:, I'm now
Done there but feel free to continue tidying up if you wish. Cheers, 🅑🅐🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅰🅱 20:47, 15 December 2025 (UTC)

All of these following articles which had created by RandomMe98, including Radio Kalaweit, TVRI West Kalimantan, TVRI East Kalimantan, TVRI South Kalimantan, TVRI Central Kalimantan and TVRI Nusantara may be needed to change for consistent spelling, grammar, style, tone, and cohesion. Thanks. ~2026-33986-4 (talk) 11:34, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- @RandomMe98, you're gonna be invited for discuss this problem. ~2026-33986-4 (talk) 11:34, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @~2026-33986-4:, the GOCE doesn't accept "super-requests"; you can make one request for one article per subsection and you can have two requests open at any one time. Also, as a temporary account, we'd expect to see substantial work from you in the article's history. You can add the template {{copy edit}} to the top of relevant articles if you wish. Cheers, 🅑🅐🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅰🅱 12:14, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- I completed a requested copy edit for TVRI Central Kalimantan, and the next day a temporary account requested a copy edit of SOFIRAD. The temporary account has not contibruted to this article at all. I don't think this is a good use of GOCE/R time, and I think we should decline these requests. Wracking talk! 01:17, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for flagging this issue, Wracking. I kind of agree with you here. Since the super-request I noted in January, the TA user has at least followed our procedure for requests, though I did revert the request for SOFIRAD last night because the one you completed hadn't yet been completed. Most of these articles are short anyway, so I'll defer to other coordinators on whether to outright-decline these requests. I'd take SOFIRAD myself but that would only garner a new request straight away. As a meta-issue, I wonder what's the game with the TA user; they seem to be following RandomMe98's work and our c/es quite closely (see RandomMe's talk here (diff), and it seems a bit odd to me. - Yeah, Baffle, I was scratching my head over that too. Wonder if it's WP:UPE focused on Indonesian TV stations, with quality control on the TA's part. Milhist articles never looked so good :-). All the best, Miniapolis 19:08, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
that would only garner a new request straight away
is exactly my concern, in conjunction with themeta-issue
of why GOCE is being involved in whatever's going on between the TA and RandomMe98. Wracking talk! 17:30, 16 March 2026 (UTC)- TA ~2026-33986-4 has been blocked for block evasion. I reached out to the blocking admin, JBW. Wracking talk! 20:28, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- If the TA user's main account is blocked, we can go ahead and decline their requests because blocked users shouldn't be editing WP articles. Cheers, 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 21:43, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Indonesian television article requests
I've reverted a request added by a temporary account here (diff); a TA has two similar extant requests for Indonesian TV articles. This is very likely the same person who made a super-request documented here (permalink). I dislike reverting requests, so I hope we're not being gamed here. 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 21:18, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
It's an editor's edits that need attention, adding commas inappropriately.
But I guess this isn't something for you all to handle. Doug Weller talk 14:55, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Doug Weller:, alas this WikiProject has no power to stop errant editors doing silly things, though we sometimes wish we did. Cheers, 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 02:24, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Baffle gab1978 Yes, I know, just looking for help reverting, but I got that. They've been warned now, but of course they may not have found their talk page. Thanks though. Doug Weller talk 10:09, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
Elliot Rodger on hold
I've placed the c/e request for the above article on hold; the requester is asking for summarisation of detailed information in this sensitive article in preparation for another run at GAN. I agree with Dhtwiki's comments at the request page here (diff) that this goes beyond the scope of copy-editing. Courtesy-pinging the requester @Shoot for the Stars: for awareness. Cheers, 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 20:51, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
Herbert A. Parkyn on hold
I've placed the c/e request for the above article on hold because the article is excessively detailed and verbose right now, and much of its text will need summarizing or removing to make it accessible to most readers. This would quickly negate the effects of a full copy-edit. I invite the requested to discuss here; courtesy-pinging @Cbl62:. The request is here (diff). Cheers, 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 19:39, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- Also pinged DJ71park; thanks, Baffle. All the best, Miniapolis 14:00, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
- I also note the article is undergoing heavy editing at the moment, which is another good reason a c/e shouldn't occur right now. Let's see where we are in a couple of weeks. Cheers, 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 22:43, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Dj71park and I have since done some significant cleanup work on the article. I think I'm nearly ready to remove my hold notice. 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 20:08, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
- I've struck my hold notice; I think the article is now better organised and a c/e would be stickier now. That doesn't address the other issues of AI-written content, excessive citations and too many images, though some work to fix those issues has occurred. Cheers, 🅑🅰🅖 ☿ 🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 03:17, 4 April 2026 (UTC)

Ben Roberts-Smith on hold
I've placed the request for the above article on hold. The subject is a high-profile Australian (correction: former) soldier who has recently been in the news in that country. Therefore, the article has been actively edited in the last few days, making it unstable. I suggest waiting a week or so for it to settle down. Courtesy-pinging the requester, @TarnishedPath:.
