Zeynep Yıldırım

Competing internationally for Turkey from 2000 onward, Yıldırım wrestled in the 51 kg, 55 kg, 56 kg and 62 kg divisions during her senior career.^[1] Her best result at world level came at the 2001 World Wrestling Championships in Sofia, where she finished sixth in the women's 56 kg class.^[7][1] She later placed 17th at the 2002 World Wrestling Championships, 11th at the 2005 World Wrestling Championships, and 24th at the 2006 World Wrestling Championships.^[1]

At continental level, she finished eighth at the 2005 European Wrestling Championships in Varna and eighth again at the 2006 European Wrestling Championships in Moscow.^[1] Her biggest senior medal came at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almería, where she won silver in the women's 51 kg event.^[5][6][1]

Yıldırım also won the 2012 Yaşar Doğu Tournament at 55 kg and took bronze medals at the Dan Kolov – Nikola Petrov Tournament in 2007 and 2009.^[1]

Following her retirement from competition, Yıldırım became a wrestling coach.^[2][3][4] In 2018, she served as a coach at the Turkish Junior Women's Wrestling Championships.^[3][4]
