Henri Debliqui (Henri Georges Louis Debliqui) was the son of Jean Louis (stenographer, born in Ixelles, BR, BE) and Jeanne Alice BAERT (no occupation, born in Saint-Gilles, BR, BE). Spouse: Paule MATTHYS. Residing in Saint-Gilles, BR, BE, 25 rue de Bosnie. Appointed temporary clerk at the Saint-Gilles municipal administration on February 23, 1932, appointed on a probationary basis on July 13, 1932, and appointed permanently on July 1, 1933. Public assistance and social welfare from February 24, 1932. Working in the Population Department of the Municipality of Saint-Gilles, he collaborated with the "Zéro" and "Portemine" groups, active in intelligence gathering and the underground press. In November 1940, he was contacted by his first cousin, Arnold Deppé, who was also involved in intelligence work, and later in the recruitment and passage through Spain of Belgian volunteers wishing to reach England. Arnold subsequently stayed with his cousin Henri, who in early 1941 put him in contact with Andrée DE JONGH. The three of them founded the DDD team (from the initials of their surnames), which would later form the beginnings of what became the Comet Line. Henri DEBLIQUI was arrested at his home on April 9, 1941, lured into a trap by the Belgian traitor Prosper DEZITTER (executed on September 17, 1948, in Ixelles, BR, BE). He was never heard from again and is reported to have been shot at Tegel Prison in Reinickendorf, northeast of Berlin (Sources: [358]; [673] (Philippe CONNART); "Archives" Unit of the Saint-Gilles Municipal Administration, BR, BE[1])
