Sol Invictus est une divinité orientalisante de la Rome antique dont le nom signifie « Soleil invaincu » ou « Soleil triomphant. »
Ce nom a été repris par :

- Augustus Sol Invictus (en), (né Austin Gillespie en 1983), avocat, candidat libertarien aux élections primaires du Sénat des États-Unis pour la Floride en 2016 (ce personnage a pu adopter un nom latin en vertu des lois de la Floride qui stipulent notamment : Chancery courts have jurisdiction to change the name of any person residing in this state on petition of the person filed in the county in which he or she resides).
