Jennifer Runyon was born in Chicago, the daughter of radio announcer and disc jockey Jim Runyon and actress Jane Roberts.
She grew up moving between various U.S. cities as her father’s disc jockey career required the family to relocate frequently.
Runyon made her feature-film debut in the slasher film To All a Goodnight, beginning her on-screen acting career.
She began taping the soap opera Another World in New York, playing the supporting role of Sally Frame.
Her run on Another World concluded after nearly two years on the show.
She appeared in Ghostbusters in a small part as a student tested for ESP by Peter Venkman.
Runyon starred in Up the Creek, which was filmed over several weeks in Bend, Oregon.
On television, she played Gwendolyn Pierce in the sitcom Charles in Charge.
She replaced Susan Olsen as Cindy Brady in the television film A Very Brady Christmas.
Runyon played the lead role in The In Crowd and also appeared in the pilot of Quantum Leap.
Runyon guest-starred on Murder, She Wrote in the episode “Seal of the Confessional,” appearing alongside Angela Lansbury.
She played a supporting role in the World War II parody A Man Called Sarge, produced by Gene Corman, her father-in-law.
Runyon married Todd Corman, a collegiate basketball coach and film/TV production worker.
