Corey Lee Wrenn

Wrenn erwarb 2005 einen B.A. in Politikwissenschaft und 2008 einen M.S. in Soziologie, beide an der Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.^[2] Im Jahr 2013 gründete Wrenn das Vegan Feminist Network, ein akademisch-aktivistisches Projekt.^[3] Sie schloss 2016 ihre Promotion in Soziologie an der Colorado State University ab.^[4]

Wrenn wurde 2015 Dozentin am Institut für Politikwissenschaft und Soziologie der Monmouth University.^[4] Im Jahr 2016 wurde sie vom National Center for Institutional Diversity der University of Michigan als „Exemplary Diversity Scholar“ ausgezeichnet.^[5] Wrenn war Ratsmitglied der Sektion „Animals & Society“ der American Sociological Association (2013–2016) und wurde 2018 zur Vorsitzenden gewählt.^[6] Sie verließ die Monmouth University und übernahm 2018 eine Dozentur an der School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research der University of Kent.^[4]

Sie ist als Lektorin für Buchrezensionen bei „Society & Animals“ tätig und Mitglied des Forschungsbeirats der Vegan Society.^[7]

Wrenn ist Sentientistin,^[8][9] abolitionistische Veganerin und Feministin. Sie ist Autorin von „A Rational Approach to Animal Rights: Extensions in Abolitionist Theory“ (Palgrave MacMillan 2016) und „Piecemeal Protest: Animal Rights in the Age of Nonprofits“ (University of Michigan Press 2019).^[8]
