Bis zur landesweiten Neuordnung der französischen Kantone im März 2015 gehörten zum Kanton Le Blanc die neun Gemeinden Ciron, Concremiers, Douadic, Ingrandes, Le Blanc, Pouligny-Saint-Pierre, Rosnay, Ruffec und Saint-Aigny. Sein Zuschnitt entsprach einer Fläche von 360,19 km2. Er besaß vor 2015 den INSEE-Code 3605.
