Sie besteht aus den Departements Andemtenga, Baskoure, Dialgaye, Gounghin, Kando, Koupéla, Pouytenga, Tensobentenga und Yargo. Durch Kouritenga führt die Fernstraße N4 von Ouagadougou nach Niger. Hauptstadt ist Koupéla.
