Len Ishmael ist eine Entwicklungsplanerin und Geografin aus St. Lucia, die vom 12. Mai 2003 bis Ende Dezember 2013 Generaldirektorin der Organisation Ostkaribischer Staaten (OECS) war.[1] Im Jahr 2013 wurde sie zur Botschafterin der OECS bei der Europäischen Union ernannt und trat die Nachfolge von Shirley Skerrit-Andrew an.[2]

Sie besitzt einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Geographie und Wirtschaftswissenschaften von der University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, einen Global Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy der Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy und einen Doktortitel in Stadtplanung und Entwicklungsökonomie von der University of Pennsylvania.[3]
Sie ist (2025) Professorin an der Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (جامعة محمد السادس متعددة التخصصات التقنية ⵜⴰⵙⴷⴰⵡⵉⵜ ⵎⵓⵃⵎⵎⴷ ⵡⵉⵙⵙ ⵚⴹⵉⵚ ⴰⴳⵜⵉⵇⵏⵉ) in Marokko.[4]
Ehrungen
Ishmael wurde im März 2010 von König Juan Carlos für ihre Verdienste um die karibisch-spanischen Beziehungen der Zivilverdienstorden verliehen.
