Die Liste der Stadtkreise Bayerns enthält alle kreisunmittelbaren bzw. kreisfreien Städte (Stadtkreise), die jemals in Bayern existiert haben oder noch existieren. Alle derzeit noch existierenden kreisfreien Städte werden in den Listen durch Fettdruck hervorgehoben.

Die Pfalz wurde 1945 von Bayern abgetrennt und in die französische Besatzungszone eingegliedert. 1946 wurde sie ein Teil des neuen Landes Rheinland-Pfalz. Die Gebietsveränderungen, die die kreisfreien Städte der Pfalz nach 1945 betreffen, werden hier nicht aufgelistet.
