Pete Tex (* 29. Juni 1942 in Rastatt; eigentlich Peter Drischel) ist ein deutscher Saxophonist.

Leben
Pete Tex wuchs in Rastatt auf, wo er auch heute noch zusammen mit seiner Ehefrau wohnt. Er hatte seinen Durchbruch mit dem Instrumental-Song Slow Motion. Der Song verbreitete sich damals über das Jukebox-System und ist auch noch heute für ihn einträglich. Das zugehörige Album Golden Saxophone Hits erreichte 1975 Platz 43 der deutschen Charts. Er stand lange Jahre bei Polydor unter Vertrag. Im Laufe seiner Karriere nahm er über 20 Tonträger auf. Er tritt auch noch im hohen Alter live auf.[2]
2025 kündigte er Relax with Sax als sein letztes Album an.[3]
